A wedding in Georgia costs about $1,500-4,000 for up to 20 guests, $4,000-10,000 for 20-50 and $10,000-25,000+ for 50-100 in 2026. Registration is free; banquets run $40-150 per guest.

A wedding in Georgia (the country) costs about $1,500-4,000 for up to 20 guests, $4,000-10,000 for 20-50 guests and $10,000-25,000 or more for 50-100 guests, according to the Tbilisi planners at Eventive. The legal part is cheap: registering the marriage at a Public Service Hall is free, and a ceremony costs 75-255 GEL. What moves the total is the banquet, the venue, the vendors and getting your guests there and to bed.

This guide gives the 2026 prices for each of those, venue by venue and region by region, with three worked budgets at the end. Prices are in the currency the venue or vendor quotes. For comparison, the National Bank of Georgia rate is 1 USD = 2.60 GEL and 1 EUR = 2.92 GEL.

The venue decides most of the bill, because it fixes the per-guest food price, whether guests sleep on site and how far everyone travels. Here are the venues in this guide side by side.

Glamping Tago (our venue), Adjara

• Where: on the hill above Village Tago, Khulo municipality, mountainous Adjara, at about 1,200 m
• From the airport: 87.4 km from Batumi airport, about 2 hours; the last 8.9 km is a mountain road for 4x4 cars and minibuses
• Capacity: up to 100 wedding guests: 33 sleep on the ridge (12 Lotus Belle tents and a nine-bed dome), up to 64 more in 27 rooms of the village guesthouses a few minutes below
• Price from: the whole camp costs 3,258 GEL per night in April, 3,711 in May, 5,041 in June and September, 6,035 in July and August and 3,646 in October, with the event tent included
• Season: the camp is open April to October; the wedding season runs May to mid-October

This is the venue for a wedding weekend, not a one-evening banquet. You book the whole camp, it closes to other guests, and everyone you invite sleeps within a few minutes' walk of the dance floor. Most couples hold the ceremony on the meadow facing the mountains and move into the 150 m2 sailcloth event tent for dinner; meals come from Yurtalicious, the vegetarian yurt restaurant on site, and meat comes from a BBQ live station. It is the wrong venue for a 200-guest banquet, for guests who expect hotel rooms with private bathrooms, or for a winter date.

For up to 20 guests, plan $1,500-4,000; for 20-50 guests, $4,000-10,000; for 50-100 guests, $10,000-25,000 or more. Those bands from Eventive match Be Loved Weddings in Adjara, which starts at $1,500 for up to 10 people, $5,000 for 30-50 and $10,000 for 100 or more.

The low bands describe a dinner in a city restaurant. A destination venue with a planner, transfers and decor costs more per head even for a small group: a fully priced 20-guest wedding at Kvareli Lake Resort in 2023 came to $13,770 with transfers, photo, drone video, host, DJ, decor, dinner without alcohol and a 10% organisation fee, and agencies quote 20-guest weddings at Chateau Mukhrani from $13,500-15,000.

Registering the marriage itself costs nothing. The Public Service Development Agency registers it free of charge at a Public Service Hall when you do not book ceremony services; you pay only for a ceremony, for the apostille your home country needs and for translations.

The ceremony fees come from the government decree that raised them, reported by CBW; the apostille ladder is on the agency's apostille page. You need two adult witnesses, both partners must be 18, and foreigners show proof of legal stay in Georgia. A passport with your name in Latin letters is accepted without a Georgian translation; other foreign documents need an apostille and a notarised Georgian translation. At a Public Service Hall without a ceremony, the decision takes about 2-5 hours and the certificate comes the same working day, Monday to Friday 9:00-18:00, as the Wedding in Georgia agency describes. In Batumi, demolition of the Wedding House at the entrance to the Boulevard began on 25 February 2026, as the Batumi Boulevard news page reports, and a new wedding palace is planned on the new boulevard. Batumi couples now register at the Public Service Hall, free on weekdays, or book the 255 GEL registrar to come to their venue.

A church wedding is a separate ceremony with its own price: Lotus Wedding starts at $250, Vowly at $215 plus 18% VAT, and WedInGeorgia at $1,190 for its church package, with a donation to the church of 200-500 GEL.

Expect $40-150 per guest for food, plus $15-40 per guest for alcohol. Eventive's bands are $40-60 for a basic menu, $60-90 standard and $90-150 premium; Kate&Co puts a dinner from $40 and a full banquet with drinks at $90-100.

Some Tbilisi hotels price the room instead of the plate. The ballroom at Paragraph Freedom Square seats up to 200 and has a minimum spend of 8,000 GEL on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and 10,000 GEL on Monday and Sunday evenings; its reception package of 55-65 GEL per guest covers the space, set-up and lighting, not the food.

At Glamping Tago children under 6 eat free and 6-12 pay half, homemade lemonade, compote and water come with the supra, and your own wine costs 15 GEL corkage per bottle.

City restaurants often charge no rent and set a minimum spend instead; estates and chateaux charge for the space. Eventive's ranges are $500-1,500 for a restaurant with catering (minimum spend often $800-1,500 for 30-40 guests), $800-2,500 for hotels and estates and $1,500-5,000 or more for chateaux. Kate&Co quotes venue rental from $350 to $5,000.

In the mountains: Kazbegi and Gudauri

• Where: Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and Gudauri, on the road north from Tbilisi
• From the airport: Rooms Hotel Kazbegi is 169.9 km from Tbilisi airport; Gudauri Lodge, at about 2,000 m, is 134.7 km and on the same road
• Price from: Kate&Co packages in Kazbegi or Gudauri start at $1,600; Lotus Wedding starts at $2,990 at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi

Rooms Hotel Kazbegi seats 80-100 in its restaurant and up to 200 in its ballroom.

Gudauri Lodge is a ski hotel with 121 rooms next to the first slope, and it prices weddings on request.

In the wine country: Kakheti

• Where: the Alazani valley, east of Tbilisi
• From the airport: Tsinandali Estate 92.9 km, Kabadoni in Sighnaghi 99 km, Lopota Lake 105.1 km and Kvareli Lake Resort 139.8 km from Tbilisi airport
• Price from: Kate&Co Kakheti vineyard packages from $1,800; the Wedding in Georgia agency quotes Alazani valley weddings from $2,600, with guest dinners outside Tbilisi from $60 per person

Kvareli Lake Resort has 100 rooms, a 224 m2 Kakheti Ballroom and a 120 m2 Alazani hall. You do not need to close the hotel or buy out rooms for a wedding, and its private terraces seat up to 100 guests.

At Lopota Lake you rent each space separately. The agency grid on wedding-in-georgia.co.uk lists, venue only: the small pier from $755, the large pier from $2,265, the Oval Restaurant from $3,375, the second floor of the resort's chateau from $4,550 on weekdays, the event hall from $5,660 and the whole chateau from $13,250.

Tsinandali Estate is the premium end of Kakheti. The same agency grid lists the garden lawn from $2,400, the vineyard terrace at $3,150, the ballroom at $5,900 and exclusive use of the resort from $28,000.

Kabadoni is a boutique hotel with a terrace restaurant in the hilltop town of Sighnaghi. It quotes weddings on request.

Near Tbilisi: Mtskheta and the city

• Where: Chateau Mukhrani is a palace and winery 60 km from Tbilisi airport; the city hotels are 17.7 km from it
• Capacity: about 150-300 in the Chateau Mukhrani Orangery; up to 200 in the Tbilisi Marriott ballroom
• Price from: agencies quote a 20-guest wedding at Chateau Mukhrani from $13,500 (wedding-in-georgia.co.uk) and from $15,000 (Shu Wedd), and 50 or more guests at the winery from $22,500-25,000

In the city, the Tbilisi Marriott publishes its catering line: $45 per guest for a dinner, lunch or reception. Tbilisi ceremony packages at the Wedding in Georgia agency run from $950 for a wedding hall ceremony to $2,000 for an outdoor ceremony, and Kate&Co starts Tbilisi weddings at $1,200.

On the coast: Batumi

• Where: the Black Sea seafront
• From the airport: Sheraton Batumi is 9.6 km from Batumi airport
• Price from: dinner $50 per guest at the Sheraton; wedding menus from 80 GEL per guest at ORTA Batumi; Kate&Co weddings in Batumi from $1,850

Batumi is the dearer city. The Wedding in Georgia agency notes that halls, photographers and other vendors cost more there, hosts and show teams often travel from Tbilisi with transfer and hotel on top, a ceremony on the rocky shore needs an equipped terrace, and you need a rain plan. A full-day photographer costs $450-1,500, a DJ $345-720, a host $660-1,000 and decor $500-4,000 depending on how far you go. Here are the 2026 ranges from Tbilisi agencies next to what our vendor partners in Adjara charge.

The tamada is the Georgian toastmaster who leads the toasts at a supra. Most international couples book a bilingual host who mixes that role with an MC's.

For each guest from abroad, budget a flight, a compliant insurance policy, two or three nights of accommodation and transfers. Insurance is the small part; rooms and the drive are the big ones.

Flights. Wizz Air flies from Kutaisi to more than 30 European destinations, with sample one-way fares from EUR 50 (Athens) to EUR 110 (Barcelona) and Istanbul daily from EUR 60. Batumi airport is 87.4 km from Glamping Tago; Kutaisi is 215 km away by the road through Batumi.

Insurance. Government Decree No. 602 asks for a policy in Georgian or English, paper or electronic, from a Georgian or foreign insurer, covering at least 30,000 GEL for the whole stay; arriving without one means a fine of about EUR 100 at the border. Policies that meet it cost from EUR 0.99 a day or EUR 6.93 for 7 days at 100doc, from 3.95 GEL a day or 36 GEL for 10 days at GeoCover, and EUR 2.50 a day at Georgian Insurance. Georgia Today lists the mistakes visitors still make with it.

Rooms. In Tbilisi a guesthouse room costs 60-100 GEL a night, a 3-star hotel 120-200 GEL and a 4-5-star hotel 300-700 GEL (Sakhva Travel). Batumi hotels run 60-450 GEL a night by class and season (BatumiLife). Wedding-day transport. Baltija prices a minibus for up to 15 people at about $165 a day, a bus for 30+ from $275 and a car with driver for the couple from $220 a day; Kate&Co prices a guest bus for 7 hours at about $550.

Getting your guests to Glamping Tago

The last stretch is a mountain road that big coaches cannot climb, so groups come up in 15- and 17-seat minibuses and 4x4 cars, in waves from Batumi, the airport or the train station. A popular option is your own coach to Khulo and our minibuses from there. Transfers are paid in cash at our reception, never to the driver. Paying, parking, Wi-Fi and rain at Glamping Tago

• How you pay. The venue is paid in lari by bank transfer or a payment link, and companies can get an invoice in GEL or EUR. What you use on the day is settled on site, in cash or by transfer, against an itemised invoice. Vendors you book yourself are paid directly.
• Driving and parking. Batumi to Khulo is 85 km of asphalt and fine for a normal car. The road from Khulo up to Tago needs a real 4x4: guests without one park in Khulo centre and take the 4x4 taxi at 75 GEL per car, and 4x4 drivers park at the top of the camp by the sign.
• Wi-Fi. Starlink Wi-Fi runs at about 300 Mbps, enough for your vendors and a live stream for family at home.
• Rain. Every wedding has a plan B: the event tent walls close and the ceremony moves under the tent or into the yurt restaurant with its wood stove. Mountain nights get cold, so tell guests to pack a warm layer.
• Evenings. The sauna and cold plunge (15 people at a time) and the fire circle (35 people) are open every evening for everyone staying, firewood included.
• Good to know. Dogs are welcome for a 15 GEL cleaning fee. The village mosque calls to prayer mostly on Fridays, and we time the ceremony around it.

Each budget lists real 2026 prices from the sources above. Low uses the cheaper option in each line, high the dearer one. Flights and guests' insurance are not included.

Both Glamping Tago budgets include every guest's bed for two nights and four meals (welcome dinner, wedding dinner and two breakfasts), which a city banquet price never does. If you would rather hand the planning over, our partner planner usually charges 10-15% of the budget, or we coordinate every vendor for a fixed 2,000 GEL.

Most surprises are percentages and travel that no price list shows on the first line.

• VAT. Some agencies quote before tax: Vowly's prices carry 18% VAT on top.
• Agency and planner fees. Be Loved Weddings adds 10% of the wedding budget with a $300 minimum; planners usually take 10-15%, about 2,000-6,000 GEL on a typical 20,000-40,000 GEL wedding.
• Vendor travel. Photographers, DJs, hosts and stylists who leave their city charge the ride and sometimes the hotel, and in Batumi hosts often come from Tbilisi.
• Old fee figures. A guide that quotes a 50 GEL registration or a 50-80 GEL apostille is out of date; use the official figures above.
• USD price lists. Most agencies and videographers price in US dollars while venues and the state charge in lari, so a weaker or stronger lari moves your total.
• Copied price grids. One agency site repeats its Lopota Lake rental grid on its Kvareli Lake page line for line. Get every venue price in writing from the venue or the planner who books it.
• The wrong Georgia. Many "wedding in Georgia" cost articles are about the US state. Check the currency and the cities before you trust a number.

Book the venue first, because the date, the guest count and the region decide everything else. Then book the paperwork, the vendors and the guest logistics in this order:

1. Set the guest count and the region. A 20-guest dinner in Tbilisi and an 80-guest weekend in the mountains are different budgets; use the tables above.
2. Book the venue 6-12 months ahead for June to September. At Glamping Tago, high season books 6-12 months out and a 30% prepayment confirms the date; it is non-refundable and it is your minimum.
3. Choose the legal route. Free registration at a Public Service Hall, a 75-255 GEL ceremony, or a registrar at your venue. In Tbilisi, book a wedding hall at least 2 weeks ahead; an agency filing for an outdoor registrar needs about 2 weeks.
4. Book the photographer, host and music next. Get prices in writing with the travel included.
5. Tell your guests about the insurance rule and the nearest airport (Batumi for Adjara, Tbilisi for Kakheti and Kazbegi).
6. 30 days before: send the venue your programme, timeline, vendor list and mood board.
7. 7 days before: confirm the final headcount for the food in writing and the rooming list.
8. A few days before: send every guest's arrival time so the transfers can be planned.
