Dreaming of a wedding like this?

Margo and Nikolay wanted a family wedding in Georgia that felt warm and easy for everyone, from the grandparents to the two-year-olds. They came to Glamping Tago on 6 and 7 September 2026 with 38 guests, ten of them children. Their wish list was clear from the start: no alcohol at all, their own story told on a screen, flowers and fruit on the tables, and time for the kids to run around in the grass.

The brief

Anastasia, our wedding organiser, brought Margo into one group chat with our manager Neli and Jonas. Margo sent a Pinterest board and a timeline for the day, and after a video call we turned everything into one written plan, with a good-weather version and a rain version. Neli then went through every open question with her in the last week: the room list, the soup, the microphones, the playlist and the transfers.

How the days ran

  • The evening before: Margo came up alone to prepare. The glamping was full that night, so we booked her a room in a village guesthouse and sent a car to Batumi for her.
  • Arrival: three groups, three ways. A minibus brought ten friends from Batumi at noon, two minibuses picked up the rest in Khulo, and our driver met the cars in the valley to show the road to the glamping.
  • Afternoon: a welcome zone with canapés, homemade lemonade and soft drinks, while the kids played on the meadow.
  • Their story: after the welcome the couple told their story to everyone, on the big screen under the tent.
  • Evening: a buffet dinner with a live barbecue, Georgian polyphonic singers with panduri, and dancing in the middle of the tables.
  • Late: ten friends went back to Batumi at ten; the rest slept in the tents.
  • The morning after: a slow morning and minibuses back down to Khulo at eleven.

Behind the scenes

Margo asked for live Georgian music at the welcome, and two days before the wedding we still had no musicians. Our team kept calling around, and the day before we found a group that sings traditional polyphony with panduri. They arrived by five.

The tables followed her Pinterest board. Our ladies picked wildflowers in the village, and the long tables got white runners, ferns, bunches of green grapes and pomegranates. We set them in a U-shape with the buffet on one side and space in the middle for dancing.

Because nobody was drinking, we made sure there was always something good in the glass: homemade lemonade, compote, soft drinks, tea and coffee. The kitchen cooked a Euro-Georgian buffet with a live barbecue of mixed meats and no pork, and made sure the soup was lactose-free for one guest who needed it.

September evenings in the mountains can get cold, so we moved the wood stoves from two lotus tents into the event tent. Margo also brought photos to hang on a tree; Neli had plastic sleeves ready, so they would survive any weather.

The moment

Irina, our marketing manager, photographed the day without getting in the way of their photographer and sent Margo everything two days later. Margo wrote back that the photos and videos were wonderful, and said yes to us sharing their day.

Behind the scenes

Minibuses from Batumi and Khulo, a car for the bride, the photographer and early leavers.

  • Wood stoves in the event tent

Moved from two lotus tents to keep the September evening warm.

  • Their photos on a tree

Neli brought plastic sleeves so the photos could hang outside whatever the weather.

Questions people ask

Can we have an alcohol-free wedding at Glamping Tago?

Yes. Margo and Nikolay had no alcohol at all. We served homemade lemonade, compote, soft drinks, tea and coffee through the day and evening.

Can we show a slideshow or video at our wedding?

Yes. We have a projector, a screen, speakers and wireless microphones. Under the tent it works best after sunset; in daylight the yoga dome is the better spot.

Is Glamping Tago good for a wedding with children?

Yes. There is open grass to play on, a family dome, and the kitchen adapts the menu for allergies such as lactose.

How do guests get to Glamping Tago?

Tago is in the mountains of Adjara, about three hours from Batumi and four from Kutaisi airport. We arrange minibuses and jeeps timed to flights and trains. The last stretch of mountain road needs our minibus or a 4x4; guests driving a normal car can park in Khulo and we pick them up there.
