Anastasia & Nikolai
A 24-guest wedding with the whole glamping to themselves: vows under a green arch on a mountain meadow, canapés in the yurt and dinner under the big sailcloth tent.
Dreaming of a wedding like this?
“Both we and all of our guests were absolutely delighted, everything turned out magical, just the way we had dreamed of.”
Anastasia and Nikolai wanted a small wedding in Georgia with their closest people and a lot of mountain around them. They booked the whole of Glamping Tago for 7 August 2025: 24 guests, one ceremony outside, and dinner under our big sailcloth tent. It was their first time organising an event like this, and they told us so. That made our job clear: think of every detail before they had to.
The brief
After a first meeting with Nikolai we wrote one shared wedding brief. It had the guest list, the menu, the table plan, the drinks and a timeline for the day. Anastasia's mother Julia did the decor, and their host Dmitry ran the ceremony and the evening program. We matched our timings to Dmitry's plan minute by minute, and when the two plans did not line up, we got everyone on one call and fixed it before the day.
How the day ran
- The day before: our team put up the 9.7 by 15 metre sailcloth event tent on its own deck, hung fairy lights, built the bar and tested the sound. The couple came to look and wrote to us that it looked perfect.
- Morning: the kitchen started cooking while the last guests of the night before checked out.
- Early afternoon: six guest tables were fully set under the tent before the ceremony, so nothing would clatter during the vows.
- 4:45 pm: guests arrived to homemade lemonade, got their tents and had a tour of the glamping.
- 5 pm: the ceremony on the meadow, led by their host, with the valley behind the arch.
- After the vows: photos, then canapés and sparkling wine in the yurt while our team got the tent ready for dinner.
- 6:30 pm: dinner under the tent, then the first dance, games, the bouquet, the cake and toasts from the guests.
- Late: coffee, tea and dancing. After midnight the party moved inside the yurt restaurant.
Behind the scenes
There are few flowers around Tago in August, so our team built the wedding arch from greenery we found on the mountain and dressed it with flowers. We laid a carpet aisle, put benches on the grass, set lanterns on both sides of the arch and ran power and sound out to the meadow.
We planned the day twice. In good weather the ceremony was on the meadow; if it rained, everything would move under the tent, which stood ready the day before. In the end the sky stayed clear.
The kitchen made about 90 canapés for the reception, from spinach and feta tartlets to eggplant rolls with walnut, then a Euro-Georgian buffet with a barbecue, a roasted tomato and red pepper soup the bride chose, and a dessert table with fruit. Georgian wines and honey chacha were on the tables. Their cake, big and wide, waited in our fridge until it was time.
The moment
The day after, Julia wrote to us that the day turned out wonderful, and listed what she noticed: the arch, the flowers, the tables, the food and the lemonade. A week later Anastasia wrote that everything turned out magical, just the way they had dreamed of.
What we made happen
The whole glamping, just for them
All tents and spaces for 24 guests, with no other guests on site.
A sailcloth tent, up a day early
Our 9.7 by 15 metre event tent on its own deck, with fairy lights, a bar and sound.
An arch from the mountainside
Built by our team from greenery found on the mountain and dressed with flowers.
A ceremony on the meadow
Benches, a carpet aisle, lanterns and sound wired out to the field with the valley view.
A plan for rain too
Two timelines: meadow and tent if sunny, everything under the tent if it rained.
Tables set before the vows
Six guest tables fully laid in advance, so the ceremony stayed quiet.
Lemonade and a tour on arrival
Homemade lemonade, their tents and a walk around the glamping for every guest.
90 canapés in the yurt
Tartlets, bruschetta, caprese skewers and eggplant rolls, served with sparkling wine.
A Euro-Georgian buffet with barbecue
Soup of the bride's choice, a barbecue, a dessert table with fruit and Georgian wines.
Their cake in our fridge
We measured their wide cake in advance and kept it cool until the cutting.
One plan with their host
We matched our timings to the host's program and aligned everyone on a call.
A party into the night
Coffee, tea and dancing under the tent, then the yurt after midnight.

Questions people ask
Can the ceremony be outside, not under the tent?
Yes. Anastasia and Nikolai said their vows on a meadow next to the glamping, with benches, an arch, lanterns and sound. The event tent stays ready as the rain plan.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
We plan two timelines. If it rains, the ceremony, welcome and dinner all move under our sailcloth tent, which we put up the day before.
Can we bring our own host, decorator and photographer?
Yes. We work with your team and match our timings to your host's program. We can also recommend people we have worked with before.
How do guests get to Glamping Tago?
Tago is in the mountains of Adjara, about three hours from Batumi and four from Kutaisi airport. We arrange minibuses and jeeps timed to flights and trains. The last stretch of mountain road needs our minibus or a 4x4; guests driving a normal car can park in Khulo and we pick them up there.
