Asya & Timur
An intimate wedding for 17 guests: a morning tea ceremony, vows under a flower arch above the valley and a vegetarian dinner on the open deck.
Dreaming of a wedding like this?
Asya and Timur wanted an intimate wedding in Georgia with only the people closest to them. That meant 17 guests speaking Russian, English, German and Georgian, and the whole glamping to themselves for two nights, 14 to 16 August 2025.
The brief
They had a few wishes from the start: the option of a legal marriage at the venue, an arch with local flowers, and food they could eat, because they are vegan and don't drink. They also worried that a small group would feel lost under our big event tent.
What we sorted out before the day
- The legal side. We asked the civil registry in Khulo whether a marriage can be registered at Tago. It can: couples apply at the House of Justice, for example in Tbilisi, and the registrar comes up the mountain.
- A tent that doesn't feel empty. We had just built a new wooden deck under the sailcloth tent. For 17 people we set a few long tables, hung curtains around the poles and rolled the walls up in the warm weather, so the mountains became the walls.
- Local flowers. Flowers from around the village for the arch, the bouquets and the tables.
- The cake. Their two-tier cake came from Batumi and needed a freezer, not a fridge. We measured ours in advance to be sure it would fit.
The day
The morning started slowly, with a Chinese tea ceremony from cups they brought, and then yoga. At one o'clock they said their vows under the flower arch, with the valley behind them. A friend filmed the ceremony on an old cassette camera.
Canapés and a toast with just two bottles of sparkling wine followed, then dinner on the deck: a vegetarian feast with a vegan zone for the couple and our roasted tomato soup. After dinner the bride danced on the deck in her dress while the sun went down.
Why it worked
A small group can feel lost in a big venue. Here, 17 people had the whole place, the staff spoke their languages, and the day ran at their pace, not a schedule's.

We confirmed with the Khulo civil registry that a marriage can be registered at Tago, and what couples file in advance.

Local flowers for the arch, the bouquets and the tables.
A big tent made intimate

Questions people ask
Can we get legally married at the glamping?
Yes. The civil registry can come to Tago. Couples apply at the House of Justice, for example in Tbilisi, between two months and two weeks before the date. We help with the steps.
Does a small wedding work at Tago?
Yes. With the whole glamping to yourselves, we scale the event tent and the tables to your group, so 15 or 20 guests feel just as right as 40.
Can the whole menu be vegetarian or vegan?
Yes. Our kitchen cooks vegetarian menus and can make a full vegan table for couples or guests who need it.
How do guests get to Glamping Tago?
Tago is in the mountains of Adjara, about three hours from Batumi and four from Kutaisi airport. We arrange minibuses and jeeps timed to flights and trains. The last stretch of mountain road needs our minibus or a 4x4; guests driving a normal car can park in Khulo and we pick them up there.
