Rest, Move, Explore: A Small-Group Yoga Retreat in Adjara

This is a retreat built around genuine rest. Vasilina designed it for a small group of eight, partly because she wanted to slow down herself, and partly because that kind of honesty makes for better company. Days here have a natural shape: morning yoga to ease you into the mountain air, time outside in the landscape, and an evening practice to close the day quietly. The setting does a lot of the work. Glamping Tago sits at the forest edge in Upper Adjara, where late-September mornings are cool and crisp, afternoons warm, and the nights genuinely dark and still. You sleep in a Lotus belle tent with a mountain view.

Two excursions take you further into the region. One day you hike to an alpine lake and stop for a picnic on the way. Another day is given over to a longer cultural journey through a monastery, a fortress, and mountain lakes. These are not rushed tours. There is also a free afternoon built in, and one evening the group has the sauna to itself, paired with a cold plunge if you want it. Meals are included throughout, and the retreat opens with a welcome dinner after arrival.

The group stays small by design. Eight people maximum means Vasilina can actually pay attention, and it means the retreat feels more like travelling with good company than attending a programme. Yoga sessions take place in the heated yoga dome, a cosy indoor space well suited to a group this size. If the weather invites it, the open-air wooden platform is right there too.

This retreat is conducted in Russian. It suits people who want to move their body, see something beautiful, and come back feeling genuinely rested rather than merely busy in a different place.

Your host, Vasilina

Vasilina runs a yoga studio in St Petersburg and leads two or three multi-day yoga tours each year, usually lasting ten days or more. She brings real organisational experience to a small group, and a straightforward approach: she comes to these trips to rest and practise, and she invites others to do the same alongside her. This is her first time in Georgia, which she has approached with characteristic care.

Hosted at Glamping Tago

Every event here happens at our own mountain venue above Village Tago: forest-edge tents, a yurt restaurant, a dedicated yoga shala and a wood-fired sauna.
