Glamping Tago

Digital Detox & Mental Health Week

Feel human again

Seven days of golden autumn in the Georgian mountains, with your phone in a box and the world switched off. No news, no feeds, nothing to keep up with. Daily psychological talks and group sessions, yoga and sports, sauna and ice baths, fresh healthy food, and a small group of people who are actually present, in a village that has never been in a hurry.

A note from your hosts

Why we are hosting this week

We both love technology: Jonas builds with it every day at Glamping Tago, Nikita has been a developer for over ten years. This is not an anti-technology week.

But we also know how it feels to reach the end of a day with all your attention spent on a screen, and little left for the people and the plans that actually matter. Most of us just need a real pause: a week to feel human again, meet people properly, and think about where we are going. So we are making the week we would want to go on ourselves.

People, nature, movement, food and fire. Far enough from the feed to hear yourself think.

A day without screens.

Roughly how a mid-week day flows. The week opens with a welcome circle on Monday evening and ends with a closing circle on Sunday morning. Everything in between is offered, never pushed: join what calls you, skip what doesn't.

The base of the week is set. A few extras, like building a wooden sculpture together and burning it on the last night, or guitar evenings, we are still deciding together with the people who join. Tell us what you would want: Share your ideas

Part 1 ยท Mornings

08:30

09:15

Part 3 ยท Afternoons

Move & rest

14:30 - 18:00

This was the highlight of our entire trip. Unfortunately, we only had time for two days, but we could have easily stayed for the whole week. Beautiful location, excellent accommodation and warm, kind-hearted and professional staff. Oh, and the food is cooked by Local Mothers, so you know it's good! The tent/yurt sauna with a wood stove and cold water basin, along with the campfire were among the highlights, perfect gathering spots for conversation and connection. And when you get up in the morning to wash your face, you're greeted by this amazing view. Good things tend to attract good people, and this camp is proof of that once again.

A truly unique glamping experience, full comfort in stunning nature. The team was incredibly helpful and everything was spotless. Don't miss the sauna-in-a-tent, we warmly recommend it ๐Ÿ™‚.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it truly felt like home. The place is spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The views are just breathtaking, you can sit and stare for hours. We stayed in one of the tents, and it was such a lovely experience, clean, warm, and full of charm. ๐ŸฅฐThere's a heater and a wood-burning stove inside, and the scent of the firewood adds such a cozy, comforting atmosphere. Everything smelled fresh and pleasant.๐Ÿ’ž It's not just a place to eat or stay, it's a feeling. And I have to mention Nina, the hostess, she's simply amazing. So warm, attentive, and full of positive energy.๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”

We came as a group of four for a weekend getaway at the glamping site and were absolutely thrilled! Everything, from the accommodation to the food at the restaurant, from the staff to the stunning mountain views, was perfect. This place is made for disconnecting from the city, spending time with yourself, enjoying nature, and coming back to your true self ๐Ÿฉต. There aren't many magical places like this on Earth, and Glamping Tago is definitely one of them. We'll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Glaming Tago, it's such a beautiful location with a lovely vibe. Anastasia made our stay fantastic, she is super accommodating and kind. It's a wee but out of the way to get too but so worth it, the food was lovely, the dogs were great, the yoga was a nice wee add on. They had table tennis bats but no table, only down side. But that's very minor. We loved every minute. Thank you!!

A closer look at Tago

Questions? We've got you.

Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November 2026: six nights, seven days. The group arrives on the Monday and leaves on the Sunday, because the week is built as one shared arc. If you cannot take the whole week off, you can join for 4 or 5 nights.

At the opening circle on Monday evening (or when you arrive, if you join later) we all hand in our phones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches together. Everything goes into a labelled pouch and is locked in a safe until the closing circle on the last day. There is no daily phone hour, on purpose: even ten minutes of messages brings the work and the worries back, and your head is somewhere else for the rest of the day. If you really need a device for something that cannot wait, talk to a host: we arrange it in one room with internet, and afterwards it goes back in the safe.

Our team is on site with you for the whole week and they keep their phones, so there is always a number here that can be reached, day and night. Before the week starts we send you that number: put it in your WhatsApp and Telegram status and in your email auto-reply, and tell the people who matter most. If a message comes in for you, we pass it on, and if it is urgent we come and find you straight away. Locking your phone away never means being unreachable.

Most guests are expats living in Georgia, roughly 25 to 45, and quite a few of them work in tech - people who spend their days in front of a screen and know exactly why they want a week without one. It tends to be a curious, easy-going crowd. Some come from abroad for the week too.

Many do. Sometimes a couple or a small group of friends joins, but there are always other solo travellers, and because everything happens together as a group - meals, sessions, sauna, campfire - you are never left to figure out your evenings alone.

No. We both work in tech and love what it can do. But it has a dark side too, and it is easy to end up controlled by it instead of the other way around. This week is a step back: see what technology is doing to your life, clear your head, and go home with a better way to use it. We will share what works for us, like app blockers on the phone and a laptop that switches itself off in the evening.

No. The talks and group sessions are psychoeducational and practical - about stress, burnout, sleep, attention, and habits - and the circles are spaces to reflect and share, not treatment. If you are in acute crisis or under clinical care, this week is not a substitute for that, and we're happy to talk it through before you book.

The base is: meditation and yoga in the morning, a talk and a circle before lunch, hikes and free time in the afternoon, sauna and a fire every night, and a journal to keep. A few extras, like a wooden sculpture we build together and burn on the last night, or guitar evenings, are still being decided together with the people who join. If you have an idea, share it here or just write to us.

No. Everything is an invitation. Some guests share openly, others mostly listen and journal - both are exactly right. Whatever is shared in a circle stays in the circle.

A basic e-reader without a browser is fine, and so is a simple camera. The rule of thumb: if it has a SIM card, Wi-Fi, or apps, it goes in the box. We also keep a few digital and film cameras at the camp for anyone to borrow, and we share the week's photos with everyone afterwards.

No. Every session is designed for all levels, including complete beginners. The ice bath is always optional, and we guide you through the breathing if you want to try it.

There is movement every day - yoga, hikes, games, optional workouts - but everything scales to your level and nothing is mandatory. If you can walk a mountain trail at your own pace, you can do this week.

Proper mountain autumn: golden forests, crisp sunny days, and cold nights that can drop close to freezing. Rain is likely at some point, and early snow is possible. Tents have heating and wood stoves, the sauna runs every evening and the campfire is always on, so the cold is part of the charm as long as you pack for it.

Warm layers (thermals, a fleece or wool jumper, a warm jacket), a hat and gloves, a waterproof rain jacket, waterproof hiking boots and warm socks, slippers or comfortable shoes for the camp, swimwear and a towel for the sauna, and a head torch. If you forget something warm, tell us before you arrive and we will help.

Then the week simply moves under a roof and closer to the fire. Circles, meditation and talks happen under cover, the tents stay warm, the sauna gets busier, and there are board games, tea and books. If snow comes, we swap the long hike for a snow walk and build a snowman. We check the forecast every day and adjust the plan, so nobody has to hike in bad weather.

We offer two types: Lotus tents (for two people) and the Half Dome dormitory (for nine people). Lotus tents are glamping tents with electricity, heating, and mountain views. The Half Dome is a shared dorm-style space with heating, a safe, and mirror. For more details, see our Glamping page.

Yes. Private means you stay alone in the tent. Shared means two people per tent - if you're coming with a friend, both of you book shared and we'll put you together. If you're solo, we match you with another solo guest of the same gender. If no match comes up by the time the week starts, you keep the tent to yourself at the shared price.

Yes. We are a small place - 12 Lotus tents - and the team lives on site, so there is always someone around. Everything during the week happens as a group, and if you'd like to share a tent we match you with another female solo guest. Bring warm layers and good shoes: the end of October in the mountains is fresh, especially at night.

Yes. Hot water, mountain views. Two blocks, each with two showers and two toilets.

All meals are included, cooked fresh every day, mostly from local ingredients - and this week the kitchen leans deliberately healthy: real food that helps you sleep, move, and feel good. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most other requirements - just tell us when you book.

Yes, in moderation. A glass of red wine with dinner is fine. The detox is from screens, not from everything, so we just ask you to keep it light. There is also very good tea, mountain herbs, and the sauna.

Yes, from 4 nights. You pick your nights and arrival day in the booking form and pay a nightly rate. The week is one arc - slow down, move, open up, be present, take it home - so the full week is the best way to do it, and it is also 10% cheaper per night.

Book right here on this page. A 30% prepayment reserves your spot and the rest is paid on arrival. The earlier you book, the less you pay: 30% off until 30 September, 10% off until 12 October, and the full price from 13 October.

Cancel at least 2 weeks before the start and you get a full refund. Within 2 weeks, we can't refund, but get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

The easiest route from abroad is a flight to Batumi. From Batumi it is about 2.5 hours by road up into the mountains. Two options: a private transfer we book for you, door to door, 265 GEL per car; or public transport - a marshrutka (minibus) from Batumi to Khulo for around 10 GEL, then our 4x4 taxi from Khulo up to Tago for 75 GEL per car, about 35 minutes. Flying into Kutaisi or Tbilisi works too: transfers from there are 465 GEL and 925 GEL per car. For detailed directions, see our How to get to Glamping Tago page.

No, transfers are arranged separately and paid on top. But you don't have to organise anything yourself: send us your flight details and we book the car for you, and where we can we match you with other guests arriving at the same time.
