Before you go

Everything up here is walkable

Five documented routes start at the camp, from a two-hour village stroll to a full day at Skhalta monastery. Reception lends maps and will match a route to your group. Walk them yourself for free, or take one of our guides.

Self-guided: free. Guide: 150 GEL half day, 200 GEL full day.

Organic Maps and MAPS.ME also show far more paths up here than the ones we have written up - old village tracks, forest roads and ridge lines - so you can put a walk together yourself.

Always tell reception before you head out, and again when you are back.

Section one

Easy walks

Section two

Four to six hours with real ascent. Boots, water and a start before noon.

Otsinari lake

A lake that sits higher than the glamping, across stunning fields with the mountain range opposite in view.

This was the highlight of our entire trip. Unfortunately, we only had time for two days, but we could have easily stayed for the whole week. Beautiful location, excellent accommodation and warm, kind-hearted and professional staff. Oh, and the food is cooked by Local Mothers, so you know it's good! The tent/yurt sauna with a wood stove and cold water basin, along with the campfire were among the highlights, perfect gathering spots for conversation and connection. And when you get up in the morning to wash your face, you're greeted by this amazing view. Good things tend to attract good people, and this camp is proof of that once again.

A truly unique glamping experience, full comfort in stunning nature. The team was incredibly helpful and everything was spotless. Don't miss the sauna-in-a-tent, we warmly recommend it 🙂.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it truly felt like home. The place is spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The views are just breathtaking, you can sit and stare for hours. We stayed in one of the tents, and it was such a lovely experience, clean, warm, and full of charm. 🥰There's a heater and a wood-burning stove inside, and the scent of the firewood adds such a cozy, comforting atmosphere. Everything smelled fresh and pleasant.💞 It's not just a place to eat or stay, it's a feeling. And I have to mention Nina, the hostess, she's simply amazing. So warm, attentive, and full of positive energy.💔💔💔

We came as a group of four for a weekend getaway at the glamping site and were absolutely thrilled! Everything, from the accommodation to the food at the restaurant, from the staff to the stunning mountain views, was perfect. This place is made for disconnecting from the city, spending time with yourself, enjoying nature, and coming back to your true self 🩵. There aren't many magical places like this on Earth, and Glamping Tago is definitely one of them. We'll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Glaming Tago, it's such a beautiful location with a lovely vibe. Anastasia made our stay fantastic, she is super accommodating and kind. It's a wee but out of the way to get too but so worth it, the food was lovely, the dogs were great, the yoga was a nice wee add on. They had table tennis bats but no table, only down side. But that's very minor. We loved every minute. Thank you!!
