In this post we will tell you about a place little known to many tourists and hidden among the Adjara mountains – this is Green Lake!
It often happens that travel can be stressful if not properly prepared for the trip. We decided to write for you the best tips for outdoor recreation using the example of Glamping Tago. All the tips below to ensure that your next trip is relaxing, calm, full of new adventures.
As you know, tourism is seasonal. You should take into account that during the high season if you do not make a reservation in advance, there is a big risk that there will be no available tents for the dates you need. We recommend making your reservation at least one week in advance.
By the way, if you want to spend your weekend at Glamping Tago, you can book a tent through our website.
Also, when organizing a trip, you need to take into account the road quality and travel time, because many glampings, most often, are located far from big, noisy cities. This is the beauty of it and that is why it is called solitude with nature! Therefore, you should take care not only of your booking but also of how you get to your destination.
By the way, we have written a detailed blog post on how to get to Glamping Tago. If you are coming from Batumi, first you need to get to the center of Khulo municipality. How to get to Khulo, follow the link: https://glampingtago.ge/how-to-get-to-khulo/
After you get to Khulo, you need to get to the village of Tago, where our Glamping is located. How to get to Tago, follow the link: https://glampingtago.ge/how-to-get-to-glamping-tago/
If you come to glamping from another country, then doubly many factors must be taken into account. What if your flight was delayed? Or what if you arrived too late and can’t reach the glamping destination in time?
Always be in touch with your hosts. In cases of emergency, they should always be ready to offer you an alternative. Especially when you are in a foreign country for the first time. It’s better to write down the questions you have and do not hesitate to ask them to your hosts! But it is better to do this in advance in order to avoid unplanned accidents.
For founders of places like glamping or any other accommodations, the official website is not only about beautifully written texts and nice pictures. The main goal of the website is to provide you with all the information you need. Spend 5-10 minutes of your time to check the website, because most often, all the answers to your questions are there.
Glamping is just like a hotel or hostel, but even cooler! Imagine that you are literally in the middle of nature and at the same time have light, and hot water, and Wi-Fi, and delicious food, and clean white sheets with a comfortable mattress! In general, you do not give up all the benefits of civilization, even when you are somewhere in the mountains.
We are often asked, is it possible to bring children? Sure! Children will breathe fresh air, play in nature. For example, Glamping Tago has many activities such as outdoor games as well as board games. Therefore, your children, just like you, will not be bored!
You can also come with the rest of your family or friends. In the evening, you can sit around a campfire, drink wine and even bring a guitar. Such an old school, right?
Don’t forget the essentials. Print out basic glamping checklists and check several times before leaving.
Most accommodations already provide basic necessities, so don’t overload your backpack with whatever is already provided. Moreover, many glampings are located in hard-to-reach places. Often, in order to get to the glamping, it is necessary to walk a short path and on foot. Try not to take anything superfluous, so that later it will not be difficult for you to carry it.
Glamping Tago provides bed linen, towels (one large, one small), earplugs, and we also have eco-friendly liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel in our showers.
*IMPORTANT. Glamping Tago is located in the middle of the Adjara mountains. We are often asked about how cold it is here, whether the tents are heated and what kind of clothes to bring.
You need to take into account that you need to choose clothes depending on what time of the year you arrive. However, it is a mountainous region of the country and the weather is sometimes unpredictable. As for heating, our tents have both extra blankets and an electric heater. The temperature in the tents is as comfortable as possible for your stay.
For some reason, many have a false idea that if you are relaxing in glamping, in a place whose concept implies maximum unity with nature, then you will not have the opportunity to eat normal food, because there are no conditions for its preparation. It is not true.
In every place for accommodation, be it a hotel, a hostel, and even more so glamping, the hosts have conditions for food.
There is a yurt restaurant in Glamping Tago. It is a large circular building in a glamping area. We prepare breakfast and dinner for our guests. Both are served buffet form and are a mix of hot and cold dishes. Our menu is completely vegetarian.
By the way, you can visit our restaurant without the obligation to stay overnight. If you are traveling and Glamping Tago is on the way, you can rest with us, have a little refreshment and enjoy some food. Instead of buying plastic or styrofoam cups, plates, and cutlery, consider a green alternative. Some organic and health food stores have vegetable-based cookware that is 100% biodegradable.
As we have already mentioned, most of the glamping sites are located far from the big, bustling cities. Often, getting to the glamping site itself is already associated with a number of vehicles that need to be reached.
For example, Glamping Tago is connected with the outside world by a cable car, on which you need to travel from the center of Khulo to the village of Tago. Read more about the Khulo cable car here: https://glampingtago.ge/khulo-cable-car-2/
Based on the foregoing, there are often different tourist routes in the vicinity of the glamping. It is safe to set aside one or two days in order to go hiking!
The southwestern part of Adjara, where our Glamping is located, is mountains, waterfalls, and river gorges. These are small authentic Georgian villages with centuries-old traditions. These are ancient fortresses, ancient churches, and unique arched bridges. As well as nature reserves and national parks with rare species of plants and animals.
Here is a list of nearby attractions we recommend hiking:

Like Glamping Tago, most accommodations are pet-friendly. So there is no need to ask your friends to look after your four-legged friend while you are on vacation. Arrange a weekend for your pets, take them with you on a trip!
Hope, this does not need a description. The most important thing is that you enjoy your trip. Remember that only we ourselves create our atmosphere, our own vibe, and only we can decide how cool today will be!
