Glamping Manager (Couple)

Start March 2027Year-round, coupleOn site Apr-Oct, remote in winter

We are ideally looking for a couple. One of you takes on the Glamping Manager role and runs the whole operation; the other takes a second role alongside it: B2B sales, marketing, or host and receptionist. On site April to October, remote in the off-season, paid all 12 months. Manager base 3,000 to 5,000 GEL plus bonuses, with accommodation and all meals included during the season. Starting March 2027, and we are hiring now.

Who we are looking for

We are ideally looking for a couple. One of you takes on the Glamping Manager role and runs the whole operation. The other takes a second role alongside it: B2B sales, marketing, or host and receptionist. The seasons are long and the village is small, and having the person you care about most next to you makes all of it easier. That is why this works best as a couple, though a strong solo application is welcome too.

The manager is the role that matters most, so most of this page is about that job. Your main job is making sure every group leaves happy and comes back next year. That means delivering an experience guests talk about long afterwards, solving the logistical problems that come with hosting 100 people on a mountain, leading a local team of around 15 people who enjoy working for you, and keeping the season running at a healthy cost.

You will not be starting from zero. We have a loyal guest base, a strong reputation, a full team and five seasons of experience behind us. Inbound inquiries and returning groups already fill a good part of the calendar. What we need now is someone to take ownership of the whole operation and make it better every year.

This is a long-term position, and that matters more to us than anything else on this page. We are looking for someone who wants to stay at least five years. Retreat organizers come back for the people they know, trust with the local team and our suppliers takes years to build, and this business only really works when the same person is here season after season.

About Glamping Tago

Glamping Tago is located in the Adjaran mountains, about 2 hours from Batumi. We've been running for 5 years and focus on what we call social glamping: creating an atmosphere where guests connect with each other and with nature. We host individual travelers, but we're particularly good at group events like yoga retreats, corporate team building and small weddings, up to more than 100 people. Our setup includes 12 luxury tents and a dome with mountain views, a yoga platform above the valley, a sauna with a cold plunge, a vegetarian restaurant and various activities. Our season runs from April to October.

What you will do

Guest and group experience

  • Make sure every retreat, event and group stay runs the way it should
  • Notice the details that make a stay memorable: names, what a group needs before they ask, problems solved before anyone hears about them
  • Make retreat organizers look good in front of their own clients

Repeat business and relationships

  • Be the main contact for retreat organizers, yoga teachers and group bookers throughout their stay
  • Secure next year's dates before groups leave
  • Drive on-site sales and repeat bookings, and build relationships with partners who can refer business to us

Events and logistics

  • Plan and run events of up to 100+ guests, including split accommodation, catering at scale, transfers and temporary infrastructure
  • Find practical solutions when the standard answer doesn't exist: renting village guesthouses, setting up a second kitchen, working around the weather
  • Coordinate site preparation and everything that has to be ready before a group arrives

Team leadership

  • Recruit, train and lead a seasonal team of around 15 people
  • Set the schedule and keep standards consistent across the season
  • Build a working atmosphere where people want to do a good job

Cost management and suppliers

  • Own purchasing, supplier deals, guesthouse and land rentals, and transport
  • Negotiate prices in a friendly, professional way and keep cost per group under control
  • Track the numbers so we know where each group and each season stands

Administration

  • Handle scheduling, payments and general administration
  • Report to the owners on results, plans and anything that needs a decision

Requirements

  • Experience where budgets, costs and supplier negotiations were your responsibility
  • Experience running events, groups or a hospitality operation at a real size
  • Fluent Georgian and Russian, and good English
  • Strong people skills and a genuine enjoyment of hospitality
  • Willingness to live on site from April to October, with no other job or business alongside this one
  • A genuine long-term commitment of at least five years - we will talk about this openly in the interview
  • Comfortable with everyday technology: booking systems, spreadsheets, WhatsApp and Telegram

We value motivation and work ethic over specific credentials. If you recognise yourself in most of the above but not all of it, apply anyway and tell us what you still want to learn. We can train you on the business and the retreat industry.

The second role

The second person takes one of the following roles. Tell us in your motivation message which one fits, and if you're unsure, tell us that too. Both of you live on site during the season. These are two real jobs, not one job with a partner attached.

  • B2B Sales: winning new business from retreat organizers, wellness teachers, corporate groups and event planners, and taking them through to a confirmed booking. 2,000 GEL plus a bonus per booking closed
  • Marketing: our online presence, content, community building and outreach to the retreat and wellness world. 2,000 GEL plus performance bonus
  • Host and Receptionist: check-ins and check-outs, reservations, daily guest care, and being the face people remember. 1,500 to 1,750 GEL

What we offer

Compensation

  • Manager base salary: 3,000 to 5,000 GEL per month, depending on experience, languages and results
  • Performance bonus based on returning groups and season results
  • Salary reviewed upward every year, plus a loyalty bonus that grows each year you stay

Work setup

  • On site from April to October, living at the glamping
  • Paid all 12 months: from November to March the work is remote (planning, sales and marketing), so you can spend the winter wherever you like
  • Paid holidays

Included

  • Accommodation on site and all meals during the season, worth around 1,000 GEL per person per month
  • No rent, no bills and no food costs for seven months of the year

Growth opportunity

  • Run a whole hospitality business rather than one department of one
  • Direct contact with the owners and real input into strategy, programming and guest experience
  • Room to grow as we expand into weddings, corporate business and event rental

And

  • Hikes, rivers and mountain air on your days off
  • Dinners with people from all over the world
  • Three dogs who will decide you belong to them within a week, and sunsets that people fly across a continent to see

How applying works

Apply with the form below: attach your CV and tell us why you want this life, where you see yourself in five years, and which second role fits your partner. Questions before you apply? Ask us anything through the same form or at jonas@glampingtago.ge: the village, the winters, the team, the money, what a normal week in August looks like. We would rather answer now than have you wonder.

Our process starts with an initial call with Jonas and Lisa, followed by a longer conversation about the role and expectations. If there's mutual interest, we'll arrange a visit to the site.

Applications only in English.
