A wedding videographer in Batumi and Adjara costs about 650-1,470 GEL for an entry package and 1,350-3,900 GEL for a full film in 2026, usually with the drone. A camera drone must be registered with Georgia's GCAA, in person for foreigners, and never flies over the guests.

A wedding videographer in Batumi and the Adjara mountains costs about 650-1,470 GEL for an entry package and about 1,350-3,900 GEL for a full-day film in 2026, with the drone usually included. Those are the quotes of 8 videographers who work in the region and sent us their prices; a typical entry package sits around 1,080 GEL and a typical full film around 2,430 GEL. Bringing the crew to a mountain venue such as Glamping Tago adds 100-270 GEL of travel.

The drone is the part couples get wrong. Georgia has had EU-style drone rules since 1 January 2021: a camera drone must be registered with the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA), a foreign pilot registers in person in Tbilisi, and nobody flies over a gathering of guests without special permission. This guide gives the 2026 prices, the packages, the vendors with their Instagram and website, and the rules step by step.

Which setting fits your wedding film?

Choose the setting before the videographer: it decides the travel fee, who else ends up in your film and whether the drone can fly at all. Adjara comes first here because it is where most couples who fly into Batumi marry, and its mountains have no restricted drone zone.

Glamping Tago (our venue), Adjara

  • Where: Village Tago, Khulo municipality, at about 1,200 m in mountainous Adjara
  • Drive: about 2 hours from Batumi; 87 km by road from Batumi airport
  • Capacity: weddings of about 30 guests, all sleeping on the ridge in 12 Lotus Belle tents for two and a 9-bed dorm (33 beds)
  • Price: the whole camp from 3,258 GEL per night in April, 3,711 in May and 6,035 in July and August (2026), with the event tent included; we recommend at least two nights
  • Filming: our partner videographer has filmed here; drone flights are planned with us before the day

Glamping Tago is made for weddings of about 30 guests: the whole place belongs to one group and everyone sleeps on site, so your film shows your people and nobody else. Meals are served in Yurtalicious, the yurt restaurant on the ridge, and the ceremony meadow, the forest edge and the valley view are all within a few minutes' walk for the crew.

Eco House Merisi, Keda (Adjara)

  • Where: Silibauri, Keda municipality, in the Adjara mountains
  • Drive: 49 km by road from Batumi airport
  • Capacity: a restaurant hall for up to 50 guests plus two open verandas; a full hotel buyout for weddings
  • Price: every wedding is priced individually
  • Filming: an open ceremony platform of about 50 m² on the cliff edge, a covered panoramic platform as the rain plan, and photographers and videographers from Merisi's own vendor base, or your own crew

The closest alternative to us in Adjara: on a buyout the hotel is yours, and the cliff-edge platform gives a drone a clean shot over the valley.

Rooms Kazbegi, Stepantsminda

A large hotel in Stepantsminda, opposite the Kazbek massif, and one of the venues the Tbilisi agencies such as Shu Wedding sell. For a film it means sharing the frame with other hotel guests, no drone at the nearby Gergeti Trinity Church, and consent from the park agency for aerials inside Kazbegi National Park.

How much does a wedding videographer cost in Georgia in 2026?

Most videographers in Batumi and Adjara charge about 650-1,470 GEL for an entry package and 1,350-3,900 GEL for their top package, and the typical prices are about 1,080 and 2,430 GEL. The cheapest quote is 200 GEL for a short shoot and the most expensive top package about 5,400 GEL. Many quote in US dollars, so the GEL figures below are about.

Tbilisi is a little more expensive for the same package. The same studio charges 950 USD in Tbilisi for the 6-hour package that costs 750 USD in Batumi, and agencies sell a 3-hour videographer as an add-on for 450 USD at Shu Wedding and Be Loved Weddings.

What is in a package: teaser, highlight film, full film, raw footage?

A Georgian wedding package is sold by hours on the day and by the length of the edited film. A short package (3-6 hours) gives a 1-4 minute clip; a full day (10-12 hours) gives a 5-15 minute film plus a teaser of about a minute and vertical reels for Instagram.

  • Teaser: about 1 minute, often delivered first, within 10 days at Wedding Videographer Georgia.
  • Clip or highlight film: 1-5 minutes set to music. A highlight film elsewhere usually runs 3-5 minutes and a longer film 10-20 minutes (Vidpros).
  • Film: 5-15 minutes telling the whole day. Irakli Shelia also cuts a 1-2 hour event film in his photo-and-video package.
  • Full ceremony, toasts and first dance: unedited, as separate files. Natalia Chizhikova's top package and the 10-hour package at Wedding Videographer Georgia include them.
  • Raw footage: every file from the day. Included in every Wedding Videographer Georgia package; ask for it in writing elsewhere.
  • Reels: vertical 9:16 cuts for Instagram and TikTok, on top of the 16:9 film.

Is the drone included, and what does a separate drone team cost?

Usually yes: every package from the two best-known Batumi videographers includes the drone. You only need a separate drone team when your videographer does not fly, or when you want a pilot working while the camera operator stays on the ground.

  • With the videographer: Wedding Videographer Georgia and Natalia Chizhikova include the drone in every package. Vladislav Terida-Kremenetsky films a church wedding with two cameras and a drone for 250 GEL and a wedding day with photo, video and drone from 700 GEL.
  • A separate team at Glamping Tago costs 800-1,000 GEL for raw footage and 1,000-2,000 GEL for an edited film (our organizer guide).
  • In Tbilisi, drone-only work starts at 150 GEL without editing and 200 GEL with editing at Falcon Dron; Irakli Shelia charges from 200 GEL per location for drone video and adds 30% for Batumi and Adjara.
  • Agencies charge far more for the same thing: Wedding in Georgia adds a drone videographer (a Full HD clip) for 700 USD to its mountain-view package from 2,600 USD.

Who films weddings in Batumi and the Adjara mountains?

These videographers work in Batumi and Adjara and sent us their 2026 prices. Book them through Instagram or their website, and send your timeline with the enquiry.

Wedding Videographer Georgia (Anton Kuznetsov), Batumi

Four packages in Batumi: FOR TWO 490 USD (3 hours, a 1-2 minute clip), MINI 750 USD (6 hours, a 2-4 minute clip and a teaser), OPTIMAL 960 USD (10 hours, a 5-10 minute film) and PREMIUM 1,700 USD (12 hours, two operators). The drone, the raw files and the full ceremony are in every package. Teaser and reels come within 10 days and the film within a month. Travel to Glamping Tago is 100 USD, or 150 USD on the FOR TWO package.

Natalia Chizhikova, Tbilisi (films all over Georgia)

Our partner videographer, who has filmed at Glamping Tago. Her packages: 650 USD for 5 hours and a clip of up to 3 minutes; 980 USD for 8 hours and a film of up to 5 minutes; 1,500 USD for 10 hours, a 7-10 minute film and a teaser; 2,000 USD for two operators, a 10-15 minute film, and the ceremony and toasts as separate files. Drone filming is in all four.

Vladislav Terida-Kremenetsky, Batumi

Filming in Batumi since 2010, with his own drone and a finished video in 5 days. Packages run 200-1,000 GEL, which makes him the budget choice for a short ceremony or a couple shoot.

Ilya Kopytov, Batumi

A photographer and videographer in one, with photo and video packages at 600-1,200 USD. For a 20-30 guest wedding, one person covering both saves a second travel fee to the mountains.

Who films weddings in Tbilisi, and what do they charge?

Tbilisi crews charge a little more than Batumi ones and add travel to Adjara. If you marry in Tbilisi, or want a Tbilisi crew to travel, these prices are public:

What does it cost to bring a videographer to a mountain venue like Glamping Tago?

Expect 100-270 GEL of travel on top of the package, unless the videographer includes it. Sergo Gubchenko charges 100 GEL, Wedding Videographer Georgia 100 USD, and Valentin Aleksandrov includes the trip.

  • One vendor car for everyone: a car from Batumi and back costs 530 GEL (2 x 265 GEL). Put the videographer, the photographer and the DJ in it together (how to get to Glamping Tago).
  • Our guest minibus: the transfer from Batumi can pick the videographer up on the way, as it did for a photographer at a 2025 wedding.
  • Staying the night: seven family guesthouses in Tago village are 3-10 minutes' walk from the camp, so a crew that films the party and the morning after can sleep next door.
  • Leaving early: a videographer who goes back after the first dance needs a car of their own, because the guest transfers run on the guests' schedule.
  • Fuel and cash: the last fuel station, ATM, shop and pharmacy are in Khulo, about 6 km before Tago. Transfers are paid in cash to our reception, so a crew riding with the guests brings lari.

Can you fly a drone at your wedding in Georgia?

Yes, if the pilot is registered with the GCAA, keeps to the open-category rules and does not fly over the gathered guests. Flying in and around public events is banned without special GCAA permission, and the open category never flies over assemblies of people (uas.gov.ge).

What that means on the day:

  • Register: any drone of 250 g or more, or any drone with a camera, whatever its weight, needs an operator registration (GCAA FAQ). A wedding drone always has a camera.
  • Height: 120 m above the ground at most.
  • People: no flights over the guests. In the A2 subcategory the drone keeps 30 m from uninvolved people (5 m in low-speed mode), and it needs a class C2 drone and an A2 certificate.
  • Buildings: in A3, at least 150 m from residential, commercial, industrial and recreational areas.
  • Private land: filming over private property needs the owner's consent. At a venue, that is the venue.
  • Night: allowed in the open category with green and red flashing lights, so a drone shot over the fire or the fireworks is legal.
  • Crowded places: filming a wedding in a city centre is a case for a special permit to fly over crowded areas (Legal.ge). At a private venue in the mountains, the pilot films the landscape, the couple and the guests from the side, never from above.

How does a foreign videographer or guest register a drone?

A foreign pilot registers in person at the GCAA office in Tbilisi. Registration is free and takes 5-10 minutes without an appointment.

  1. Check the weight and camera. A camera drone needs registration at any weight. A test is only needed above 250 g.
  2. Get a Georgian SIM card. The registration needs an active Georgian number and your email.
  3. Go to the GCAA office at the start of I Kheivani Street, Ortachala, Tbilisi, Monday to Friday 9:00-18:00, with your passport.
  4. Take the online test if your drone weighs 250 g or more. It is free, the pass mark is 75% and the certificate is valid for 5 years (GCAA).
  5. Label the drone. The operator ID goes on the outside of the drone or in the battery bay, legible and hard to remove.

An EASA operator registration from an EU country is not valid in Georgia, and a Georgian registration and A1/A3 certificate are valid only in Georgia. Bringing a consumer drone in your luggage needs no customs permit (Fitcation).

Where can you not fly: airports, restricted zones and churches?

Near airports, in the restricted zones on Georgia's airspace map, at many churches and where an owner has asked for a no-fly zone. Mountainous Adjara has no restricted zone on the 2026 map.

  • Batumi: zone UGR27 covers the airport and its approaches from the ground to 400 ft above the ground (about 120 m), 24 hours a day; a drone flies there only with the airport operator's permission (AIP ENR 5.1). Batumi airport is about 5 km south-west of the city.
  • Kobuleti: restricted area UGR7 is a circle of 0.7 NM (about 1.3 km) round a point near the town, from the ground to 2,000 ft.
  • Supsa (Guria): the only prohibited area in Georgia, closed to all flights.
  • Owner-requested zones: since GCAA Order No. 57 of 17 March 2025, an owner or a municipality can ban drones over public buildings, homes, pools, private beaches, roads, rivers and lakes. Check the GCAA airspace map for your exact spot before the day.
  • Churches: signs at Gergeti Trinity Church say drones are not permitted (Wander-Lush). For a church wedding, ask the priest before the drone goes up.

Can you film with a drone in a national park?

Only with consent from the Agency of Protected Areas (APA). Every photo or video shoot in a protected area, drone included, needs its permission, applied for with the details of the shoot.

The APA splits filming into small-scale commercial, large-scale commercial and non-commercial, each with its own fee. Since 13 October 2026 the consent is applied for online (APA news). In Adjara this covers Mtirala National Park above Chakvi and Machakhela National Park. The APA answers on its hotline 153 and at info@apa.gov.ge (contacts).

What are the fines?

Breaking the flight rules is an administrative offence. Article 111-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences sets 2,000 GEL for a breach of the flight rules and 20,000 GEL for using Georgian airspace without permission, rising to 5,000 and 30,000 GEL for a repeat within a year.

Ignore the old figures that still circulate. The 2017 rules (50 m from people, roads and buildings, 6 km from airfields, 54 km/h) were replaced on 1 January 2021, and pages that quote a 50-80 GEL "drone permit" mix them up: registration is free.

How does drone filming work at a Glamping Tago wedding?

We plan the flights with your videographer before the day. The camp is yours alone, so the only people to think about are your guests and the village below.

  • Timing: the ceremony starts at 16:00, and the couple shoot runs in the golden hour from about 17:00 while guests have canapes. That hour is the drone's best light. Dinner is at 19:00 and the first dance at 20:30.
  • Quiet hours: no early-morning flights over the sleeping tents. Music stays outside until midnight, then the party moves into the yurt.
  • Rain: if it rains, the ceremony and the dinner move under the sailcloth event tent, put up the day before. Drones do not fly in heavy rain or strong wind, and even drizzle spoils footage (Ted's), so plan the aerial shots for a dry window. Tago sees rain on about 14 days in June and July and about 12 in September and October.
  • Batteries: a full day needs spare batteries and a charging plan; agree with us where the crew charges.
  • Connection: satellite Wi-Fi at about 300 Mbps covers the camp, enough to upload previews or stream the ceremony to family abroad, and Geocell and Magticom both have good coverage on site (FAQ).
  • Cold: October days usually reach about 18°C, but nights drop to 5-8°C, which shortens battery life after dark.

Golden hour after the ceremony is the time for the couple shoot and the drone.

Step by step: what to book, and in what order

  1. Fix the date and the venue first: weddings book far further ahead than ordinary stays. At Glamping Tago a non-refundable 30% prepayment confirms the date, the balance is paid before arrival, and food and extras at the end of the stay (booking terms).
  2. Book the videographer as soon as the date is fixed. Anton Kuznetsov of Wedding Videographer Georgia, for one, takes a limited number of projects a year.
  3. Decide on the drone: in the package, a separate pilot, or none. Ask for the GCAA operator number.
  4. Check the airspace for your venue on the GCAA map, and the church's own rule if you marry in one.
  5. Book the travel: the vendor car, our minibus or a guesthouse room for the crew. You book and pay the videographer directly, travel included.
  6. Send the timeline 30 days before, with the golden-hour slot for the couple shoot and the drone.
  7. Agree the files: film length, teaser, reels, raw footage and full speeches, in writing.

What couples get wrong

  • Trusting old drone rules. The replaced 2017 rules still circulate, and so does the idea that drones under 250 g need no registration. A camera drone needs it at any weight.
  • Letting a guest fly. A guest's drone over the dinner table breaks the rule on assemblies of people, and an unregistered foreign drone breaks the registration rule.
  • Booking by price alone. The 250 GEL ceremony shoot and the 1,700 USD two-operator day are different products; compare hours, film length and who flies the drone.
  • Forgetting travel. A Batumi crew in the mountains needs a car both ways, or a bed for the night.
  • No rain plan for the aerials. Plan the drone for the first dry window, not for one fixed minute.

A filmed mountain wedding at Glamping Tago

Glamping Tago is made for weddings of about 30 guests: the whole ridge belongs to your group for the weekend and everyone sleeps on site, so your film shows only your people, the meadow and the mountains of Adjara.

We work with a partner videographer who has filmed here, with drone filming in every package, and we plan the drone flights and the golden-hour shoot with whichever crew you bring. Meals are in Yurtalicious, our yurt restaurant, and the event tent is the rain plan for the ceremony and the dinner.

Most entry packages cost about 650-1,470 GEL and most full-day films 1,350-3,900 GEL, from the quotes of 8 videographers in Batumi and Adjara. Public packages at Wedding Videographer Georgia run 490-1,700 USD with the drone included. The budget end starts at 200 GEL for a short shoot.

Is drone filming included in wedding video packages in Georgia?

Usually, yes. Wedding Videographer Georgia and Natalia Chizhikova include the drone in every package. A separate drone team costs 800-1,000 GEL for raw footage and 1,000-2,000 GEL for an edited film at Glamping Tago.

Do I need to register my drone in Georgia as a tourist?

Yes, if it weighs 250 g or more or carries a camera. Foreigners register in person at the GCAA office in Tbilisi with a passport and a Georgian SIM card; it is free and takes about 10 minutes. An EU (EASA) registration is not valid in Georgia.

Can a drone fly over the guests at a wedding in Georgia?

No. Open-category drones never fly over assemblies of people, and flights at public events need special GCAA permission. The pilot films the couple, the landscape and the guests from the side.

Can you fly a drone in Batumi?

Not in zone UGR27 round Batumi airport and its approaches without the airport operator's permission. Elsewhere in Batumi the open-category rules apply, and a city-centre wedding needs a special permit for crowded areas. Mountainous Adjara has no restricted zone.

What does it cost to bring a videographer from Batumi to Glamping Tago?

Travel adds 100-270 GEL, and some videographers include it. A shared vendor car from Batumi and back costs 530 GEL, and our guest minibus can pick the crew up on the way.

Can a bigger wedding be filmed at Glamping Tago?

Yes. Glamping Tago is made for about 30 guests sleeping on site, and weddings of up to about 100 guests work with the family guesthouses in Tago village. For a bigger wedding, book two operators so one can stay with the couple.

How long does it take to get the wedding film?

Teasers and reels come first, usually within 5-10 days. Wedding Videographer Georgia delivers the full film within a month, and Vladislav Terida-Kremenetsky delivers in 5 days.
