Yoga Teacher Training Venue in Georgia (the Country): How to Run a 200-Hour YTT in the Mountains, With Spaces, Beds and Costs

Most yoga teacher trainings in Georgia (the country) happen in Tbilisi studios with a hotel down the road. A mountain venue changes the training: everyone lives, eats and practises in one place for three weeks. Here is how that works at Glamping Tago, with the spaces, the beds and the per-trainee numbers.

Why run a teacher training in Georgia

Georgia (the country in the Caucasus, not the US state) has quietly become a good place for a 200-hour yoga teacher training: visa-free entry for most nationalities, cheap direct flights to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi, food that suits a vegetarian kitchen, and prices that let a school keep the course affordable. The trainings that exist today are mostly in the capital: Tbilisi Yoga runs a 200-hour course (a hybrid autumn 2026 edition is listed at 1,290 USD early bird), Yoga Loft Academy runs a 24-day 200-hour training with accommodation at a city hotel, and studios like Tbilisi Yoga Cave host shorter modules. A city training works. It also means trainees scatter to hotels every evening and the immersion ends at the studio door.

This guide is about the other model: an immersive YTT where the whole group lives on one property. We host these at Glamping Tago, a glamping camp on a ridge above Village Tago in Khulo municipality, Adjara, about 2 hours from Batumi. What follows are our real spaces, capacities and 2026 prices, so a school can budget a course before writing to us.

The two practice spaces

• The shala: an outdoor platform of 138 m2 under a sailcloth tent, facing the valley. Room for a full 200-hour cohort on mats with space to walk between them, shaded, open to the air, and the place for morning practice, asana labs and the evening satsang.
• The dome: a 38 m2 geodesic dome, indoor and heatable, for anatomy lectures, philosophy sessions, early-morning meditation when it is cold, and rain days.
• Props: yoga mats, blocks and straps for a group, so trainees do not have to fly with mats. Bolsters and blankets from the tents. There is no massage table and no gong; bring your own harmonium or singing bowls if the course uses them.
• AV: projector, screen, speaker and microphone, for anatomy slides and recorded lectures.
• The two spaces are scheduled, so a school that books part of the venue rather than all of it still gets its practice slots.

Where trainees sleep and eat

• Twelve Lotus Belle tents (two people each, a double or two singles, wood stove, electricity, Wi-Fi) and a nine-bed dome dormitory: 33 places on the ridge. The practical range for a training is 12-28 trainees plus the teaching team; larger cohorts add beds in the seven family guesthouses of the village, three to ten minutes on foot.
• Two bathhouses with hot showers (no bathrooms inside the tents), towels and bedding provided, laundry 15 GEL.
• The kitchen is fully vegetarian and vegan-leaning, which is the point for a yoga school: full board is 100 GEL per person per day (breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner buffet), fresh and mostly local, with vegan and gluten-free covered on notice. A silent breakfast or a fasting morning is a scheduling note, not a problem.
• The organiser eats free for the whole stay. Agents and schools that bring a course get a standard 10% commission against an invoice.

The rest of the rhythm

An evening sauna is free for staying guests; the cold plunge and the campfire are where cohorts bond. For the programme, a private yoga session with our own teacher is 100 GEL, sound healing 100 GEL, a breathwork session 350 GEL per group. Ceremony and karma-yoga days can use the forest clearing, the valley overlook or Otsinari lake, 30 minutes away. Guided hikes are 75-100 GEL per group, a jeep to Green Lake or the Goderdzi Pass 400-600 GEL per car. Quiet hours from 23:00 keep a 6 a.m. practice realistic.

How a three-week course fits the calendar

The season runs from 1 April to the end of October. April and May are green, cool and cheapest; June and September are the sweet spot (warm days, clear nights, mid-season prices); July and August are warmest and busiest. Nights are cold on the ridge even in summer, so the packing list says a warm layer; the tents have stoves and heaters. High-season dates are booked six to twelve months ahead, and a school that wants the same three weeks every year should say so early.

What a 200-hour YTT costs here in 2026

Two ways to book. A whole-property buyout gives the school the camp exclusively: 2,520 GEL per night in May, 3,584 in June and September, 4,488 in July and August, 2,316 in October; the buyout includes both yoga spaces, the sauna, the campfire, tea and coffee and the sound equipment (a 2,000 GEL privatisation fee applies to exclusive events). A partial booking takes only the tents the course needs at the per-tent rate (200 GEL per tent per night in May, 268 in June and September, 336 in July and August, 173 in October), with other guests alongside and practice slots scheduled.

That is bed, three meals a day, both practice spaces and the sauna for three weeks, before teacher fees, certification and flights. A city training that prices the tuition at 1,290 USD and leaves trainees to find a hotel and meals ends up in the same range once accommodation is added; the difference is that here the training does not stop at 18:00.

Getting a cohort here

Fly into Batumi (2 hours by car) or Kutaisi (about 3.5 hours). We pool a cohort's arrivals into shared 4x4 cars (a private car for four is 265 GEL each way from Batumi) and collect from Khulo or the airport; the last stretch is a mountain road. Full directions are on how to get to Glamping Tago.

Booking terms for a school

A 30% deposit of the accommodation cost confirms the dates; it is non-refundable and counts as the minimum spend. Until 60 days before arrival tent numbers can change freely, then up to two tents free until 30 days and one until 14 days. Final numbers are confirmed in writing 14 days before, the balance is paid before arrival, and we need the full programme 30 days before and the tent list 7 days before. "If you are unsure of your numbers, book fewer tents": adding later is easy, reducing late is not.
