Company Offsite and Team Building Venues in Georgia (the Country), 2026: Tbilisi, Kakheti, Kazbegi and Adjara Compared

Published 7 September 2026

Back to the blog

Georgia (the country) has become a favourite for company offsites: visa-free for most teams, cheap flights, a hotel budget that buys a whole mountain venue. This guide compares the regions and venues honestly, with beds, meeting rooms, internet and a worked budget for 20 people.

Why teams come to Georgia

Georgia, the country between the Black Sea and the Caucasus, ticks the offsite boxes that are hard to tick in Europe: citizens of more than 90 countries enter visa-free, Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi have direct low-cost flights from most of the EU, and the money that pays for a conference hotel at home rents a whole vineyard estate or mountain camp here. Add the food, the wine and the fact that everyone has wanted to see the Caucasus, and attendance stops being a problem.

The agencies that rank on this topic (Meetsy, Eventive, georgia.to, Kitchen Event) will plan the whole thing for a fee; Meetsy, for example, works open-book at contractors' prices plus a fixed 10% fee, and Kitchen Event's standard programme is 3-4 days. This guide is for the team lead who wants to understand the map first. It is written by one of the venues, Glamping Tago in the Adjara mountains, so read our entry with that in mind; the other numbers are from the venues' and agencies' own pages.

Tbilisi: the conference floor

Tbilisi Marriott (up to 200 in its halls), Radisson Blu Iveria, the Biltmore on Rustaveli Avenue and the Sheraton Grand Metechi Palace with its ballroom are the venues every MICE agency lists first. They are right for a conference of 100-500 delegates, a product launch, or a team that wants a city around it. Evenings are easy: a supra dinner for 120 in an old-town courtyard is a standard agency product. What Tbilisi is not: an offsite. Nobody comes back from a ballroom different.

Kakheti: wine estates and lake resorts

Two hours east of Tbilisi, the Alazani valley is where Georgian companies take their own teams.

  • Lopota Lake Resort and Spa, Kvareli Lake Resort: large lake-side resorts with conference halls, several restaurants and hundreds of rooms. Safe for 150-250 people who all want a hotel room and a pool.
  • Tsinandali Estate (Radisson Collection): a historic wine estate with an amphitheatre, gardens and meeting rooms; the premium choice for 50-150.
  • Horizons Bakurtsikhe: a cottage village that sells the whole property to one team, from 2,715 GEL per night for six cottages (minimum four, 10% off for two nights), with meeting-friendly spaces, fast Wi-Fi, a pool, sauna and fireplace. The closest thing in Kakheti to a private camp.

Kakheti's strength is comfort and capacity; its weakness is that wine is the programme, and a team that needs three days of real work will spend them slightly hungover.

Kazbegi and Gudauri: the view

Rooms Hotel Kazbegi (a restaurant for about 85, more than 150 beds, Mount Kazbek in the window) is the executive-retreat venue of Georgia; agencies position the town for "strategic work sessions". Gudauri's ski hotels (Gudauri Lodge, Marco Polo, Monte) are quiet and cheap in summer. Both are 2.5-3.5 hours from Tbilisi on the Georgian Military Highway. Strong for a leadership team of 10-30 that wants a hotel with a view; weak for large groups, and the weather above 2,000 m changes fast.

The Adjara mountains: the deep-work offsite

Adjara is the south-western region around Batumi. Two hours inland, above the town of Khulo, Glamping Tago is a private camp on a ridge that hosts one team at a time. This is us.

  • Workspace teams actually work in: a climate-controlled geodesic dome (38 m2) with ergonomic chairs and desks, and a 138 m2 sailcloth-covered platform for the whole group; projector, screen, speaker and microphone, whiteboards and post-its, coffee and snacks refreshed every two hours. Fibre Wi-Fi tested at 300 Mbps, with Starlink and mobile backup; remote teams from Berlin, Lisbon and Amsterdam have run their normal video-call days from here. Breakout tents for parallel sessions.
  • Sleeping: twelve Lotus Belle tents (two per tent, wood stove, electricity, Wi-Fi) and a nine-bed dome, 33 people on the ridge; seven family guesthouses in the village three to ten minutes below add 64 beds at 150 GEL a room. The comfortable on-site range for a working group is 10-28; we have hosted 120 with the village.
  • The connection layer: an evening sauna (free for staying guests), a bonfire pit, a fully vegetarian restaurant (full board 100 GEL per person per day; barbecue setup 20 GEL if the team brings meat), and the mountains: jeep tours to Green Lake, Khikhani fortress or the Goderdzi Pass at 400-600 GEL per car, a Georgian cooking class at 60 GEL per person, a honey masterclass at 75, guided hikes at 75-100 per group half or full day, a breathwork session at 350 per group.
  • Money: the whole property is 2,316-4,488 GEL per night depending on the month (2026), plus a 2,000 GEL privatisation fee for an exclusive event. Season 1 April to the end of October. Anastasia replies within 24 hours with availability, a draft programme and pricing; repeat teams book two to three months out.

Strong for engineering, design and product teams of 10-30 who need real focus and a shared experience; for a company that wants everyone in one place for a week rather than a hotel corridor. Weak for 200-person conferences, anyone who needs an en-suite bathroom, and teams that cannot live without meat for three days (we can arrange a village dinner, but the camp kitchen is vegetarian).

The coast: incentive trips

Radisson Blu Batumi and Paragraph Resort and Spa in Shekvetili have conference facilities and the sea; agencies sell Batumi for premium incentive trips and summer parties rather than working offsites. Batumi is 2 hours from our camp, so a team can do both: two working days in the mountains, one on the beach.

What three days cost

A worked example for 20 people, three nights at Glamping Tago in June 2026, so you can compare with a hotel quote:

Totalabout 23,800 GEL, roughly 8,800 USD, or 440 USD per person for three nights, all meals, workspace and activities

Flights are on top. For comparison, Kakheti's Horizons starts at 2,715 GEL per night for the cottages alone, and a Tbilisi five-star quotes rooms plus a per-head conference package; agencies add 10% or more on everything.

How to choose

  • A conference or launch for 100 or more: Tbilisi, with a Kakheti day trip.
  • A company-wide party with hotel comfort: Kakheti lake resorts or the coast.
  • A leadership offsite of 10-30 with a view: Kazbegi.
  • A working offsite of 10-30 where the team ships something and comes back closer: the Adjara mountains, flying into Batumi or Kutaisi.

Send your team size, dates and what you want to leave with to teambuilding.glampingtago.ge. Anastasia replies within a day with availability, a draft programme and a price like the one above with your numbers. Getting here is explained on how to get to Glamping Tago.
