Section one

Day tours & trips

Jeep out into upper Adjara - honey, mosques, lakes and canyons, with our drivers and guides.

Spring-Autumn

Green Lake & Beshumi

A lake the colour of bottle glass

The jeep climbs out of Tago and over the Goderdzi Pass, where summer villages scatter across the plateau and the road slowly stops being a road. Read more Green Lake sits in a bowl of beech forest below, and the colour is real - a deep bottle-glass green that photos keep failing to exaggerate. You walk the shore, sit a while, and come home the long way over the pass.

Jara Honey Tasting Tour + Georgian feast

Lunch at the beekeeper's table

Jara is an ancient Georgian way of keeping bees: hollowed log hives, no chemicals, almost no human interference. Read more Mindia is a sixth-generation jara keeper, one of the few left in Georgia - and half a day from Tago, he opens his home for a tasting of wild mountain honey and a Georgian feast that tends to turn into an afternoon. By the time you're back on the hill, the light has gone golden and there's usually a jar in the boot.

Ghorjomi & the wooden mosque

The valley that still runs on waterwheels

Ghorjomi is where upland Adjara keeps its old rhythm. Read more A watermill still grinds flour the slow way, the village bakery pulls out cornbread you won't find in any city, and lunch happens in a family home rather than a restaurant. The guide grew up here, the families know us, and nothing about this day is staged. People come back quieter than they left.

Uchko Canyoning day

Ten waterfalls, one canyon

Six hours inside the Uchkho canyon: you abseil down the waterfalls, swim the pools between them, and count ten drops by the end of the day. Read more Certified canyon guides run the whole thing and every piece of equipment is provided. You don't need experience - just a reasonable supply of energy and dry clothes waiting at the finish.

Khikhani Fortress tour

The fortress that still guards the ridge

Khikhani has stood on its crag since the Middle Ages, and the only way up is still on foot: about ninety minutes of honest climbing. Read more The reward is the whole of upper Adjara laid out below the ruined walls - towers, chapel stones and wind at 2,200 metres. It is the steepest half-day we offer, and the one people talk about at dinner. Bring good shoes and a jacket; the summit makes its own weather.

Summer

Shuamta Lakes tour

Two lakes above the treeline

The Shuamta lakes sit at 2,150 metres - cold, clear, and swimmable on a hot day. Read more The walk in is easy and the setting is pure alpine meadow: sheep bells, wildflowers, and water that mirrors the sky. On the way back the road passes the medieval Skhalta Monastery, so the day ends a few centuries earlier than it began. Pack a towel - you will regret not swimming.

At the Glamping

No transport needed: everything happens on the hill.

Sunrise yoga on the Platform or Yoga Dome

A mat, a teacher, and the whole of Adjara

Every morning at Tago starts the same way: a teacher, a circle of mats, and the Adjara ridges filling the horizon. Read more On clear days practice moves to the open platform under the sky; otherwise the half-dome shala keeps the view through its panoramic window. Gentle enough for a first-ever class, layered enough for a daily practice - and free, because this is simply how the day begins here.

All year

Wood-fired sauna + cold plunge

Heat, cold, and the gap between

The sauna is a canvas tent with a wood stove, cedar in the air and stones that hold a deep, honest heat. Read more A few steps away is the cold plunge, and the whole point lives in the gap between the two. Round after round, something unclenches; that night you sleep like the mountain. Ask for the guided ritual and there is herbal tea between rounds and someone pacing the group.

Georgian Cooking Workshop

The boat-shaped bread, made properly

Adjaruli khachapuri is the dish this region is known for on every menu in Georgia, and making it is better than ordering it. Read more In the yurt kitchen our chefs - all of whom grew up shaping these boats - walk you from a bowl of flour to the moment the egg slides onto the molten cheese. Then the only thing left to do is sit down together and eat what you made.

Spring-Autumn

Campfire under the starry skies

The fire is lit every clear night

Every clear evening our team lays the fire at dusk, and the circle of log benches slowly fills: wool blankets, black tea, and the kind of conversation that only happens around firelight. Read more Then someone looks up. At 1,400 metres, with no town lights for kilometres, the sky does most of the entertaining - on a good night you lose count of the shooting stars.

Movie Night Under the Stars

An open-air cinema at 1,400 metres

On clear nights we carry the projector out to the platform, and the mountainside becomes a private open-air cinema: the film on the screen, the ridgeline behind it, and the first stars arriving as the light fades. Read more There are snacks and something warm to drink, and when the weather refuses to cooperate, the whole evening simply moves into the shala.

Painting workshop

The oldest meditation there is

You don't need to know how to paint - that's the point. Read more The moment you start really looking at a ridge line, or the way light lands on a tree, everything slows down: it is the oldest meditation people have. There is no fixed subject and no expectation about the result. The painting you take home is a souvenir; the quiet hour that made it is the real product.

This was the highlight of our entire trip. Unfortunately, we only had time for two days, but we could have easily stayed for the whole week. Beautiful location, excellent accommodation and warm, kind-hearted and professional staff. Oh, and the food is cooked by Local Mothers, so you know it's good! The tent/yurt sauna with a wood stove and cold water basin, along with the campfire were among the highlights, perfect gathering spots for conversation and connection. And when you get up in the morning to wash your face, you're greeted by this amazing view. Good things tend to attract good people, and this camp is proof of that once again.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it truly felt like home. The place is spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The views are just breathtaking, you can sit and stare for hours. We stayed in one of the tents, and it was such a lovely experience, clean, warm, and full of charm. 🥰There's a heater and a wood-burning stove inside, and the scent of the firewood adds such a cozy, comforting atmosphere. Everything smelled fresh and pleasant.💞 It's not just a place to eat or stay, it's a feeling. And I have to mention Nina, the hostess, she's simply amazing. So warm, attentive, and full of positive energy.💔💔💔

We came as a group of four for a weekend getaway at the glamping site and were absolutely thrilled! Everything, from the accommodation to the food at the restaurant, from the staff to the stunning mountain views, was perfect. This place is made for disconnecting from the city, spending time with yourself, enjoying nature, and coming back to your true self 🩵. There aren't many magical places like this on Earth, and Glamping Tago is definitely one of them. We'll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Glaming Tago, it's such a beautiful location with a lovely vibe. Anastasia made our stay fantastic, she is super accommodating and kind. It's a wee but out of the way to get too but so worth it, the food was lovely, the dogs were great, the yoga was a nice wee add on. They had table tennis bats but no table, only down side. But that's very minor. We loved every minute. Thank you!!
