About this experience
Adjaran khachapuri is the regional pride: a boat-shaped bread filled with cheese, finished with a soft egg and a knob of butter that gets stirred in at the table. It's the dish that defines this part of Georgia, and the one most guests have either had on a menu somewhere or seen photos of and wanted to try properly. The workshop happens in our Yurt kitchen with our local chefs - all of them grew up making it. You start from the dough and work all the way through to the Khachapuri coming out of the oven. Hands get floury, the cheese gets shaped, the egg cracks in at the last minute. Then everyone sits down at the long table and eats what they made, usually with a glass of Georgian wine if the mood is right. Most groups leave saying they'll try it at home, and the ones who actually do, message us photos for months afterward.

Good to know
Yes. The team has taught complete beginners and they have a way of making it feel easy. The only thing you need is willing hands.
Very. Kids usually love this one - playing with dough is and shaping the boat is fun, and they get to crack the egg in at the end.
Yes, and it's one of the best activities we have for that. The shared work and the meal at the end do most of the team-building on their own.
“By the time the Khachapuris came out of the oven we were all laughing in three languages. Best lunch of the whole retreat and we'd made it ourselves.”
