Always use Maps.me in order to get to us other maps do not work. Next to that always follow the road signs! There are some points where even maps.me is not correct but on these points there will always be a sign.
Important message: Khulo – Tago
The road from Khulo to Tago is narrow, difficult and requires a 4×4. We recommend people to leave their car in Khulo and come by a Taxi of one of our local drivers.
If driving yourself you can follow the wooden signs with: “Glamping Tago” on them.
Important message: Tbilisi – Akhaltsikhe – Tago
The road from Akhaltsikhe to Khulo is in a bad condition, requires a lot of patience and a 4×4 with high clearance. We recommend people to drive via Batumi instead and then to Khulo.

Important message: Repair work on the road gap in Shuakhevi
Please note that there are repair works ongoing on a small section of the road in Shuakhevi, which may result in occasional closures. The road is open from 13:00 to 14:00 and after 17:00.
Based on this information, we recommend departing from Batumi around 10:30 – 11:00 to ensure timely arrival in Shuakhevi.The distance from Shuakhevi to Khulo is 17km (approximately 20-25 minutes by car).

Upper cable car station to Glamping Tago (walking)
There is no Public transportation from the Cable car end station in Tago to the Glamping. So either you can go by foot or order a shuttle. There are 2 routes.
During bad weather we advice to order a shuttle as the road can become quite muddy.
Route 1: trough the fields

Instructions:
When arriving at the upper cable car station walk a bit until you see direction signs. Take the path to the right through the fields. You might have to open some gates please close them behind you.

Khulo to Tago (cable car)
By far the easiest way to get from Khulo to Tago is by cable car. From the upper cable car station you can follow the above instructions. It’s quite an adventure as you’ll see!

Batumi to Khulo
From the old bus station in Batumi, the so-called “marshrutka” – minibus departs. The stencil will indicate Batumi – Khulo ხულო (in Georgian, but you can ask the locals). The cost of the trip is approximately 10 GEL. The minibus will stop in the middle of the road so you can get some fresh air, go to the toilet and get some food. At the bus station there are also options to get food.
