Planning a retreat like this?

Our ladies left so happy.

Zhanat is a yoga teacher from Kazakhstan who runs retreats for women. For her first yoga retreat in Georgia she chose Glamping Tago and brought a group of 16 women for three nights, from 1 to 4 August 2026. She wanted mountain yoga, time in nature, a day of silence and a trip to the sea at the end.

Where they stayed

The group had seven lotus tents with mountain, forest and sunset views, and our dorm as a women-only room. Every guest found a canvas Tago tote bag with her own name printed on it, made to Zhanat's design.

The rhythm of the retreat

  • Arrival: they landed in Batumi in the afternoon and arrived at Tago in time for dinner, a short practice, an opening circle and the campfire.
  • At the glamping: yoga and breathwork on the open-air deck facing the mountains, a walk in the hills around the village, the sauna, an evening practice and the fire. One day was spent entirely in silence.
  • A day out: a full day by jeep: a waterfall, an old arched stone bridge over the river and lunch on the road.
  • The last day: one last practice, breakfast and a transfer down to Kvariati on the Black Sea for dinner by the water.

What we took care of

Transfers from the airport and to the coast, a vegetarian kitchen for every meal, mats, blocks and straps on the deck, the sauna and a fire every evening, and a team that kept the silence day quiet. Zhanat could spend her time teaching, not organising.

In their words

What guests said

I want to thank you and the whole Tago team from the bottom of my heart for these days. Our ladies left so happy. All these days they kept saying: how beautiful it is, how delicious the food is, how warmly we are welcomed. Special thanks for your patience with our unusual days: the silence day, the practices, the bonfires. You treated it all with such understanding, as if you had been hosting retreats all your life. We will definitely come back.

Questions people ask

Where do yoga classes take place at Tago?

On the open-air deck under the sailcloth tent facing the mountains, or in the indoor yoga dome when the weather turns. Mats, blocks and straps are ready for the group.

Can you support a silence day or special practices?

Yes. We plan quiet meals, keep the site calm and fit the kitchen and the sauna around your programme.

Can we book the whole glamping for our group?

Yes. Groups can take every tent, the restaurant yurt, the sailcloth event tent and the yoga spaces for themselves, so there are no other guests on site. Larger groups add rooms in the village guesthouses nearby.

How do guests get to Glamping Tago?

Tago is in the mountains of Adjara, about three hours from Batumi and four from Kutaisi airport. We arrange minibuses and jeeps timed to flights and trains. The last stretch of mountain road needs our minibus or a 4x4; guests driving a normal car can park in Khulo and we pick them up there.
