A meditation retreat for 100+
More than 100 people spent six nights in meditation with their teacher: the whole glamping, village guesthouses and a raw vegan kitchen for everyone.
Planning a retreat like this?
“We will come to you with an even larger team more than once!”
This was the biggest retreat we have hosted: more than 100 people came to Glamping Tago for six nights with their meditation teacher, from 22 to 28 August 2026. The group asked us to keep their name and faces private, so the photos here show the place and the practice, not the people.
The brief
The organisers needed one large retreat venue in Georgia for everyone: a space big enough for the whole group to meditate together, beds for over a hundred people, a raw vegan kitchen, days of silence, and a smooth way to bring everyone up the mountain from two airports.
How we made it fit
- Beds for everyone. Every tent at the glamping, rooms in the village guesthouses a few minutes away, and a camping area with sleeping bags and mats we rented in for the group.
- One space for all. The sailcloth tent became the meditation hall, open on the sides to the mountains and lit up at night.
- A raw vegan kitchen for 100. Together with the organisers we planned the menu, the shopping and a 40-recipe book for our cooks: breakfast, a fruit and nut table at midday and a late lunch, every day.
- Transfers from two airports. Minibuses and cars from Batumi and Kutaisi, with a live transport plan so nobody waited at arrivals for long.
The days
Mornings started in silence. The group practised under the big tent, walked the ridges above the glamping in the afternoons and came back for the evening sessions. On the full-moon night they meditated outside under the sky.
What they said
On the way home one of the organisers wrote: "Thank you for your wonderful place! We sincerely love you!"

Questions people ask
Can Glamping Tago host a retreat for 100 people or more?
Yes. The glamping itself sleeps around 35; for larger groups we add village guesthouses a few minutes away and a camping area, and the sailcloth tent holds the whole group for practice.
Can the kitchen cook raw vegan for a large group?
Yes. We plan the menu, the shopping and the recipes together with you, and cook every service on site.
Can our group stay anonymous?
Yes. If your group prefers privacy, we don't publish names, and any photo we share has faces blurred.
How do guests get to Glamping Tago?
Tago is in the mountains of Adjara, about three hours from Batumi and four from Kutaisi airport. We arrange minibuses and jeeps timed to flights and trains. The last stretch of mountain road needs our minibus or a 4x4; guests driving a normal car can park in Khulo and we pick them up there.
