can&#8217;t feel anything but grateful for all the golden people I am surrounded by.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-dbafdc19-21ec-47f5-9d16-38ba5248eee0\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-968b8ce3-de1a-4252-967b-57525fbb6fc0\">The month started off smooth and it looked like September was going to be a good not crazy but good month until &#8230;<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-67bffefb-0fd2-4cf6-94ff-dd3ca08b36f6\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-856dc9af-8e5b-4096-8c2c-0fd1a4f87416\">The storm\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element this in their entire life. Normally tornadoes don&#8217;t exist in mountains but here we are in the mountains hit by a tornado that in 15 min did enough damage that we needed to close the glamping for at least 20 days.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-d4836a46-2623-4295-b90a-c9c07b84c17f\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-4c379d27-711c-46cd-9f1c-2e77a6661c34\">When I got the news I was in Belgium in my apartment. A call from Kirill came and the first words were: &#8220;The glamping is destroyed&#8221;. At first knowing Kiril who sometimes can exaggerate a bit I asked for more details and while the whole glamping wasn&#8217;t destroyed it quickly became clear that there was serious damage. Luckily though nobody got hurt. Immediately I went into my problem solving mode which most of the times I do when shit happens but honestly there wasn&#8217;t a lot I could do from Belgium.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-a71cdf88-55a0-4267-a296-c348495cf557\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-f8a3408b-3f0d-4920-ab52-a2c34cc885a7\">When Lisa got home and I had to break the news to her, that\u2019s when it hit me. I\u2019m not someone who cries easily, but at that moment, I did. But after that moment of release, I felt strangely calm. Why? Because I knew we had an absolute dream team. But, of course, life had other plans \u2014 an airport strike delayed my trip by three more days. While I was stuck in Belgium, the team at the glamping was already in full swing. They assessed the damage, salvaged whatever was still usable, and got the ball rolling.<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-eab92cf0-a4b5-41e0-a921-3c0fa9dcd4aa\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-68f8cbbf-1897-487d-b160-728f3c9fc662\">There was a lot to do. The small damages were everywhere, but the biggest hit was to our beloved bathroom building \u2014 it took the hardest blow (literally). But instead of dwelling on it, we made a list and got to work:<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-68f8cbbf-1897-487d-b160-728f3c9fc662\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-2e6ed2c1-f2ad-4d90-803a-c738827906b3\"><strong>The To-Do List:<\/strong><\/div><ol><li>Clear the rubble (some of it had fallen 20 meters down the slope)<\/li><li>Build new showers and toilets<\/li><li>Repair and reinforce the platforms<\/li><li>Replace the damaged tents<\/li><li>Prepare for the wedding<\/li><\/ol><div data-block-id=\"block-ed549c8c-8ef3-471c-bb7f-7d3ebd7a4d76\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-ed549c8c-8ef3-471c-bb7f-7d3ebd7a4d76\"><strong>Deadline: 20 days. No more, no less.<\/strong><\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-391f3bfc-4b85-4ea0-8107-7157c85c02c1\">The reason for this &#8220;impossible&#8221; deadline? Alina and Sergey\u2019s wedding. They\u2019d been dreaming of getting married at Glamping Tago for months, and their friends and family had already booked flights to be here. Postponing wasn\u2019t an option. If we missed that deadline, we wouldn\u2019t just disappoint a couple \u2014 we\u2019d let down 30 people who had travelled across the world to share in such an important moment with them.<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-1a0bee30-a681-425f-9fa4-e055aab0c5fe\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-22891159-d859-415a-ad46-3a42fa30589e\">So we got to work.<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-f2f44025-1e46-49f1-bf41-1e4c5b805e34\">When I finally arrived, the team was already deep into the grind, and I joined them. For 20 straight days, we worked non-stop. Every single day. No weekends, no breaks. Speaking for myself (and I think I can speak for the whole team), I\u2019ve never worked this hard physically in my life. By day 3, every muscle in my body hurt. By day 20, they still hurt \u2014 and, honestly, they hurt for many more days.<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-f2f44025-1e46-49f1-bf41-1e4c5b805e34\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-c83d24a4-ad52-493b-9f58-e3ae03596c5d\">I could go into detail about every step of the process \u2014 from hauling rubble to building the new bathrooms \u2014 but I\u2019ll save you the long story. Watching our team push themselves to bring the glamping back to life was honestly heartwarming. Moments like these remind me just how lucky we are to be surrounded by such golden people.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-6302f640-38e2-41ee-9ecd-ed6935df1f32\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-5721f306-26c8-4c0c-9dcf-08922474242a\">While the whole team gave it everything they had, there are two people I need to highlight: Kiril and Alewyn.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-178e83bc-a0cc-42c0-890d-b2c98052f623\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-c28563e9-69eb-420e-88aa-f0b922f25e76\">Kiril, our manager, went beyond anything I could have expected. He showed incredible leadership, kept the team motivated, and made sure the new bathrooms were ready in time. It\u2019s one thing to lead when things are easy, but true leadership shows when things get tough \u2014 and Kiril showed up.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-a59c6b38-4f59-429f-978d-074ed1393909\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-50d437a2-9520-4c3c-88c3-932bede79078\">Then there\u2019s Alewyn, who originally came to us as a yoga teacher volunteer. He could have left at any point to go volunteer somewhere else, but he didn\u2019t. Instead, he stayed, rolled up his sleeves, and worked 12-hour shifts for 20 straight days \u2014 sometimes even through the night. I still can\u2019t believe it. His work ethic and heart are next level, and it\u2019s people like him that make you believe in the goodness of people.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-adfa732b-1082-4134-8543-e3a51c018f49\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-7f66b8c2-efad-4b9b-8c7f-10780c428d42\">To Kiril, Alewyn, and the whole team: thank you. After having to demolish the original bathroom building, we built brand-new facilities. For the remainder of this year, we now have <strong>2 showers and 2 toilets located under the dormitory<\/strong>, but that\u2019s just the start. By next season, this will expand to <strong>3 showers and 3 toilets in total<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Designing these bathrooms was no small task. Of course, we had to make sure they had beautiful views (because what\u2019s a bathroom at Glamping Tago without a view?). But since the location is close to a walking path, we had to get creative to keep the views in while keeping privacy intact.<\/p><\/div><div data-block-id=\"block-7730f85f-6470-47d3-aed2-f016ecf59104\">Here\u2019s how we did it:<\/div><ul><li><strong>One-way glass<\/strong> \u2014 so you can see out, but no one can see in.<\/li><li><strong>Smart glass<\/strong> \u2014 for an extra layer of privacy when needed.<\/li><li><strong>Strategic lighting<\/strong> \u2014 to keep things private at night while still feeling cozy.<\/li><\/ul><p>There are <strong>two modes<\/strong> for the bathrooms:<\/p><ul><li><strong>View Mode<\/strong> \u2014 clear views outside, minimal lighting inside.<\/li><li><strong>Cozy Mode<\/strong> \u2014 more cozy lighting inside, no views.<\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: var( --e-global-color-secondary );\"><br \/>Now, I know it might be hard to imagine how all of this works. With everything that happened just before the wedding, the timing couldn&#8217;t have been more intense. But somehow, everything clicked, and it turned out to be absolutely amazing.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-22ba77fd-f49b-40f4-bb02-c8da0d9f0e01\"><p>To be honest, Alina and Sergey\u2019s wedding is pretty much how I imagine my own dream wedding: a small, boutique-style celebration with only your closest people, spending the whole weekend together. It wasn\u2019t just about celebrating the couple \u2014 it was about celebrating <em>everyone<\/em> who\u2019s important in their lives. And that made it feel special on a whole different level.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-5ab3e447-d509-4963-b7c1-157cb2eacaba\">The weekend was split into 3 main parts:<\/div><ol><li><strong>Ceremony &amp; Reception<\/strong> \u2014 Emotional, heartfelt, and beautiful.<\/li><li><strong>Outdoor Dinner<\/strong> \u2014 Picture this: dining under the open sky with good food, Georgian wine, and great people.<\/li><li><strong>After Party in the Yurt<\/strong> \u2014 Let\u2019s just say, the last guests went to bed at <strong>7am<\/strong>. Enough said.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-1dc44b15-3a20-4622-8060-acab9f756da1\">The whole group stayed for 2 nights, which I think is the sweet spot. On the first night, everyone gathered around the campfire, got to know each other, and set the vibe for the weekend. Day 2 was wedding day, with heartfelt speeches, incredible food, and of course, a lot of Georgian wine. Now, first-time collaborations always bring an extra layer of stress \u2014 lots of questions, a few uncertainties, and in this case, Alex had never been to Glamping Tago before. Add to that the fact that their entire group flew all the way to Georgia just for this retreat, and well we definitely felt the pressure to make sure everything was perfect.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-d19b3d9c-9538-4ecd-aace-0558bcd30f00\">But, in the end, it all paid off. The retreat went so well that Alex is already planning another one for next year. Mission accomplished!<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-2dd3c0c2-7ec4-4fa8-9e81-cf3439648b42\">(PS: That\u2019s not to say everything went perfectly smooth, but that\u2019s all part of the adventure, right?)<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-ba22534e-1975-400d-802e-10e3eb0a2608\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-79d70636-4c95-43d7-b876-5c6d55659537\">Their retreat had a perfect balance of 3 key elements:<\/div><ul><li>Yoga \u2014 Daily sessions to get centered.<\/li><li>Relaxation \u2014 Enough downtime for people to truly recharge.<\/li><li>Adventure \u2014 Exploring the natural beauty of the Adjaran mountains, because how could you not?<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-71ce3e1a-b77a-49b6-b4ad-0d4a2f354675\">It\u2019s rare to see a retreat find the balance between doing a lot and not overwhelming people, but Alex and her two amazing teachers Kara and Caitlin nailed it. They kept it active without burning people out.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-bf14532d-f636-4ac8-8b02-7e7fcf56d514\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-c36760a4-a563-4f47-91f0-c8b48fb4f4bd\">In their words:<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-1915f517-1ce1-415b-aa8b-0883d26cca21\">\u201c<strong>Everyone loved the retreat and Glamping Tago. They said the facilities and staff were excellent. They also loved the food, the views, and the whole experience.<\/strong>\u201d<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-47b9d073-3685-4bb6-bdee-90dd802d0943\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-41ce1b35-e305-4b19-ba10-8290424f188a\">Not going to lie \u2014 hearing feedback like this is fuel for the soul. The cool thing is that her trips are family focussed! Often people think that adventure and kids are difficult to combine but Maria with her tours makes it so easy and fun. Because the kids are all around the same age they can entertain each other so the parents can spend some private moments.
