### Glamping Tago (our venue), Adjara

- **Where:** on the hill above Village Tago, Khulo municipality, mountainous Adjara, at about 1,200 m
- **From the airport:** about 87 km from Batumi airport, about 2 hours; the last 8.9 km is a mountain road for 4x4 cars and minibuses

This is the venue for a wedding weekend, not a one-evening banquet. You book the whole camp, it closes to other guests, and everyone sleeps on site on the ridge. Most couples hold the ceremony on the meadow facing the mountains and move into the 150 m2 sailcloth event tent for dinner; meals come from Yurtalicious, the vegetarian yurt restaurant on site, and meat comes from a BBQ live station. Live music has fewer quotes than the other services, so here are the real prices: a solo violinist charges 1,200 GEL and the SUL band 4,000 GEL plus 500 GEL for the trip, and on our own [organizer page](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/organizer-info) two Georgian musicians for an evening cost 800 GEL, an Adjaran folk ensemble of three singers with a panduri 900 GEL plus 50 GEL transfer, and a full party band with its own sound up to 2,500 GEL. Prices quoted in USD or EUR are converted at the National Bank rate, so treat those as approximate. Most vendors charge their ride to the mountains on top of the fee, and for make-up artists and hair stylists the trip can cost more than the work: one hair stylist charges 500 GEL and a make-up artist 1,000 GEL to come up to Tago.

The tamada is the Georgian toastmaster who leads the toasts at a supra. Most international couples book a bilingual host who mixes that role with an MC's.

At Glamping Tago our own team builds the decor: the arch costs 1,500 GEL, flowers on the tables and in the event tent 750 GEL, flowers around the rest of the camp another 750 GEL, fireworks 600 GEL and a photo booth 1,000 GEL. A bride's bouquet from a Batumi florist costs 150-600 GEL.

## How much does a wedding photographer cost in Adjara, and can you bring one from Batumi?

A wedding photographer in Batumi and Adjara typically charges about 570 GEL (about $220) for an entry package and about 1,900 GEL (about $735) for a full-day package; at hourly rates, six hours come to about 1,620 GEL. Bringing a photographer from Batumi to Tago adds 100-200 GEL for the drive, and three of the photographers include it in the price.

Almost every photographer and videographer for a wedding in Adjara lives in Batumi, so "bringing your own" is the normal case. The drive is about 2 hours each way. Most photographers quote the trip on top of the fee. If you would rather pay one fixed price, our vendor car costs 530 GEL from Batumi and back, and the photographer, the stylist and the DJ can ride up together. A photographer who covers the whole weekend also needs a bed, so put them on your rooming list.

A salon look means a morning appointment in Batumi, so it suits a city ceremony better than a mountain one.

> **Tip:** Ask every vendor for a written price that includes the drive. In Adjara most photographers, DJs, hosts and stylists charge their ride to Tago on top; a return vendor car from Batumi costs 530 GEL, so pool your vendors into one car.

## What do the legal steps and paperwork cost?

Registering the marriage itself costs nothing. The [Public Service Development Agency](https://sda.gov.ge/en/products/marriage-registration/) registers it free of charge at a Public Service Hall when you do not book ceremony services; you pay only for a ceremony, for the apostille your home country needs and for translations.

The ceremony fees come from the government decree that raised them, reported by [CBW](https://cbw.ge/business/prices-for-marriage-services-are-rising-today); the apostille ladder is on the agency's [apostille page](https://sda.gov.ge/en/products/apostille-and-legalization/). You need two adult witnesses, both partners must be 18, and foreigners show proof of legal stay in Georgia. A passport with your name in Latin letters is accepted without a Georgian translation; other foreign documents need an apostille and a notarised Georgian translation. The [Batumi Public Service Hall](#place-batumi-psh) is open Monday to Friday 9:00-18:00 and closed on Saturday and Sunday, so a weekend date means booking a ceremony. > **Watch out:** Many agency guides still quote 50 GEL for a standard registration, 100-150 GEL for express and 50-80 GEL for an apostille. Those are old figures: registration without a ceremony is free, and the apostille is 30-150 GEL by speed.

In Batumi, demolition of the Wedding House at the entrance to the Boulevard began on 25 February 2026, as the [Batumi Boulevard](https://boulevard.gov.ge/en/news/batumis-bulvarshi-qortsinebis-sakhlis-demontaji-daitsko/474) news page reports, and a new wedding palace is planned on the new boulevard. Batumi couples now register at the Public Service Hall, free without a ceremony, or book the 255 GEL registrar to come to their venue.

A church wedding is a separate ceremony with its own price: [Lotus Wedding](https://lotus-wedding.com/services/church-wedding-in-georgia/) starts at $250, and [WedInGeorgia](https://wedingeorgia.com/en/blog/venchanie-v-gruzii) at $1,190 for its church package, with a donation to the church of 200-500 GEL.

> **Good to know:** From 1 January 2026 most foreign visitors need health and accident insurance of at least 30,000 GEL for every day in Georgia. It is an entry rule that applies to every guest, not a marriage document. The details are below under guest costs.

## How much is the wedding banquet per guest?

Expect $40-150 per guest for food, plus $15-40 per guest for alcohol. Some Tbilisi hotels price the room instead of the plate. The ballroom at [Paragraph Freedom Square](https://hirespace.com/Spaces/Tbilisi/263138/Paragraph-Freedom-Square-a-Luxury-Collection-Hotel/Ballroom-Area/Weddings) seats up to 200 and has a minimum spend of 8,000 GEL on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and 10,000 GEL on Monday and Sunday evenings; its wedding reception packages of 55-65 GEL per guest cover the ceremony space, the reception room, the table set-up, the lighting and the music system.

At Glamping Tago children under 6 eat free and 6-12 pay half, homemade lemonade, compote and water come with the supra, and your own wine costs 15 GEL corkage per bottle.

## How much does the venue itself cost?

City restaurants often charge no rent and set a minimum spend instead; estates and chateaux charge for the space. Eventive's ranges are $500-1,500 for a restaurant with catering (minimum spend often $800-1,500 for 30-40 guests), $800-2,500 for hotels and estates and $1,500-5,000 or more for chateaux. Kate&Co quotes venue rental from $350 to $5,000.

### In Adjara: the Keda hills and the Batumi coast

Batumi is the dearer city. **Flights.** [Wizz Air](https://flygeorgia.ge/en/wizz-air-from-georgia-2026-complete-guide-flights-prices-baggage-and-destinations-from-kutaisi/) flies from Kutaisi to more than 30 European destinations, with sample one-way fares from EUR 50 (Athens) to EUR 110 (Barcelona) and Istanbul daily from EUR 60. Batumi airport is about 87 km from Glamping Tago; Kutaisi is 215 km away by the road through Batumi.

**Insurance.** Government Decree No. 602 [asks for a policy](https://visitgeorgia.ge/georgia-mandatory-travel-health-insurance-2026/) in Georgian or English, paper or electronic, from a Georgian or foreign insurer, covering at least 30,000 GEL for the whole stay; arriving without one means a fine of about EUR 100 at the border. Policies that meet it cost from EUR 0.99 a day, or EUR 9.90 for 7 days, at [100doc](https://tourist.100doc.ge/en/lp/mandatory-travel-insurance-georgia), from 3.95 GEL a day or 36 GEL for 10 days at [GeoCover](https://geocover.ge/en), and EUR 2.50 a day at [Georgian Insurance](https://www.georgianinsurance.ge/en/guides/travel-insurance-georgia-cost). **Rooms.** In Tbilisi a guesthouse room costs 60-100 GEL a night, a 3-star hotel 120-200 GEL and a 4-5-star hotel 300-700 GEL ([Sakhva Travel](https://sakhva-travel.com/en/blog/tbilisi-prices-2026/)). Batumi hotels run 60-450 GEL a night by class and season ([BatumiLife](https://batumilife.com/prices-holidays-in-batumi/)). At Glamping Tago the whole-camp price covers the 33 beds on the ridge, so a 30-guest wedding pays nothing extra for rooms.

**Wedding-day transport.** Baltija prices a minibus for up to 15 people at about $165 a day, a bus for 30+ from $275 and a car with driver for the couple from $220 a day; Kate&Co prices a guest bus for 7 hours at about $550.

The last stretch is a mountain road that big coaches cannot climb, so groups come up in 15- and 17-seat minibuses and 4x4 cars, in waves from Batumi, the airport or the train station. A popular option is your own coach to Khulo and our minibuses from there. Transfers are paid in cash at our reception, never to the driver. ### Paying, parking, Wi-Fi and rain at Glamping Tago

- **How you pay.** The venue is paid in lari by bank transfer or a payment link, and companies can get an invoice in GEL or EUR. What you use on the day is settled on site, in cash or by transfer, against an itemised invoice. Vendors you book yourself are paid directly.
- **Driving and parking.** Batumi to Khulo is 85 km of asphalt and fine for a normal car. The road from Khulo up to Tago needs a real 4x4: guests without one park in Khulo centre and take the 4x4 taxi at 75 GEL per car, and 4x4 drivers park at the top of the camp by the sign. Khulo centre, 6.5 km before the camp, has Bank of Georgia, Liberty and Credo cash machines, a pharmacy and fuel stations, so take out the cash for the transfers and fill up there.
- **Wi-Fi.** Starlink Wi-Fi runs at about 300 Mbps, enough for your vendors and a live stream for family at home.
- **Rain.** Every wedding has a plan B: the event tent walls close and the ceremony moves under the tent or into the yurt restaurant with its wood stove. Mountain nights get cold, so tell guests to pack a warm layer. September days usually reach 22-25°C with nights of 10-13°C; in October days reach about 18°C and nights fall to 5-8°C, and both months bring rain on about 12 days, so plan B is always set up.
- **Evenings.** The sauna and cold plunge (15 people at a time) and the fire circle (35 people) are open every evening for everyone staying, firewood included. Music stays outside until midnight and then moves into the yurt.
- **Good to know.** Dogs are welcome for a 15 GEL cleaning fee. The village mosque calls to prayer mostly on Fridays, and we time the ceremony around it.

## What hidden costs catch couples out?

Most surprises are percentages and travel that no price list shows on the first line.

- **Vendor travel to the mountains.** Photographers add 100-200 GEL for the drive to Tago, but a make-up artist or hair stylist can add 500-1,000 GEL, more than the make-up itself. Ask for the trip in writing, or put everyone in one 530 GEL vendor car.
- **Rentals from Batumi.** Delivering rented furniture to the mountains can cost more than the rental: [Ivory Events Rental](https://ivory.ge/ka) charges 1,200-1,400 GEL for the trip to Tago. At Glamping Tago the tables, benches, tablecloths, plates, cutlery and glasses are lent free.
- **Agency and planner fees.** Be Loved Weddings adds 10% of the wedding budget with a $300 minimum; planners usually take 10-15%, about 2,000-6,000 GEL on a typical 20,000-40,000 GEL wedding.
- **Hosts from Tbilisi.** In Batumi hosts and show teams often come from Tbilisi with their transfer and hotel on top; a Russian-speaking DJ from Tbilisi costs about 2,000 GEL with the transfer.
- **Old fee figures.** A guide that quotes a 50 GEL registration or a 50-80 GEL apostille is out of date; use the official figures above.
- **USD price lists.** Most agencies and videographers price in US dollars while venues and the state charge in lari, so a weaker or stronger lari moves your total.
- **Copied price grids.** One agency site repeats its Lopota Lake rental grid on its Kvareli Lake page line for line. Get every venue price in writing from the venue or the planner who books it.
- **The wrong Georgia.** Many "wedding in Georgia" cost articles are about the US state. Check the currency and the cities before you trust a number.

## How do you book, in what order and how far ahead?

Book the venue first, because the date, the guest count and the region decide everything else. Then book the paperwork, the vendors and the guest logistics in this order:

1. **Set the guest count and the region.** A 20-guest dinner in Tbilisi and a 30-guest weekend in the mountains are different budgets; use the tables above.
2. **Book the venue 6-12 months ahead for June to September.** At Glamping Tago, high season books 6-12 months out and a 30% prepayment confirms the date; it is non-refundable and it is your minimum.
3. **Choose the legal route.** Free registration at a Public Service Hall, a 75-255 GEL ceremony, or a registrar at your venue. In Tbilisi, book a wedding hall at least 2 weeks ahead; an agency filing for an outdoor registrar needs about 2 weeks.
4. **Book the photographer, host and music next.** Get prices in writing with the travel included. Couples who book Glamping Tago get our vendor guide with vetted vendors for every service and their approximate prices.
5. **Tell your guests about the insurance rule** and the nearest airport (Batumi for Adjara, Tbilisi for Kakheti and Kazbegi).

8. **A few days before:** send every guest's arrival time so the transfers can be planned.
