# A 30-Guest Glamping Wedding Weekend in Georgia (the Country), Hour by Hour: 2026 Guide

## TL;DR

- A glamping wedding weekend at Glamping Tago is built for about 30 guests who all sleep on site: 33 beds in 12 Lotus Belle tents and a 9-bed dorm dome, one wedding at a time.
- The weekend runs over two nights: arrival and a welcome dinner on day one, the wedding on day two, breakfast and check-out at 11:00 on day three.
- The wedding-day run sheet: ceremony 16:00, canapes and golden-hour photos 17:00, dinner 19:00, cake and first dance 20:30, DJ 21:00, bonfire 22:30, party in the yurt from midnight.
- The whole camp costs 3,258 GEL a night in April up to 6,035 GEL in July and August; a two-night September weekend for 30 with meals, decor, vendors, registrar and transfers is about 27,600 GEL.
- Glamping Tago is 91.7 km from Batumi, about 2 hours by road; 30 guests travel in two 15-seat minibuses at 410 GEL each way, because big coaches stop in Khulo.
- A registrar can marry you at the camp for 255 GEL; apply at the House of Justice between two months and two weeks before, with passports, a notarised translation and two witnesses.

A glamping wedding weekend in Georgia means about 30 guests who all sleep on the ridge where you marry: arrival and welcome dinner, the wedding day from 16:00 to midnight, and breakfast together the morning after. At Glamping Tago in the Adjara mountains, two nights for 30 cost about 25,000-27,600 GEL in 2026 with meals, vendors and transfers.

A glamping wedding weekend is a wedding where the venue is also the hotel. About 30 guests arrive on day one, sleep in tents on the same ridge where the ceremony happens, dance until midnight and wake up to breakfast with the bride and groom. This guide shows how we run that weekend at Glamping Tago in the Adjara mountains: the hour-by-hour plan for all three days, who does what, the 2026 prices for 30 guests and how everyone gets up the mountain.

## Which venue fits a 30-guest wedding weekend?

If you want every guest to sleep where you marry, the choice in Georgia (the country) is short. Most venues are hotels you share with other guests or banquet halls with no beds at all. This table compares what decides a weekend for about 30 people.

| Venue | Whole venue just for you | Guests sleep on site | Ceremony outdoors in nature | Private for 2-3 days | Drive from the nearest airport | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glamping Tago, Khulo (Adjara) | Yes, always: one wedding at a time | 33 beds in 12 tents and a dorm dome | Meadow facing the mountains at 1,200 m, tent if it rains | Yes, two nights or more | Batumi airport about 87 km, about 2 hours | Built for about 30 |
| Eco House Merisi, Keda (Adjara) | Yes, a full hotel buyout is offered | Up to 54 in 12 cottages and 3 villas | Yes, ceremonies up to 60 | Yes, a wedding weekend format | Batumi 53.4 km | Ceremonies and dinners up to 60 |
| Chateau Milisi, Keda (Adjara) | No, a hotel shared with other guests | Hotel rooms, shared with other guests | At the hotel | No | Batumi 37 km | Up to 120 |
| Rooms Kazbegi, Stepantsminda | No, a hotel shared with other guests | 156 rooms, shared with other guests | Terrace under Mount Kazbek | No | Tbilisi about 150 km, 2.5 hours or more | Up to 85 |
| Lopota Lake Resort, Kakheti | No, a large resort | 310 rooms | By the lake | No | Tbilisi, about 2 hours | Up to 400 |

A glamping weekend is right for you if you want a small wedding where everyone is together from the welcome dinner to the last breakfast, nature all around and no other guests. It is the wrong choice if you need hotel rooms with private bathrooms for everyone, a banquet for 150, or a date in winter.

## What is a glamping wedding weekend, and how is it different from a one-evening venue?

A glamping wedding weekend means you take over a built camp for two or three nights, so the ceremony, the dinner, the party and every guest's bed are in one place. Nobody drives home after the toasts, and the wedding lasts a weekend instead of one evening slot in a banquet hall.

At a one-evening venue, guests arrive at 17:00, eat, dance and are bussed back to their hotels. At a weekend venue, the welcome dinner the night before is where the two families meet, the wedding day starts slowly with yoga and breakfast, and the morning after is a long breakfast instead of a goodbye in a car park. Planners abroad build the same three anchors: a welcome dinner, a ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset and a brunch the next day ([IVAE Studios](https://ivaestudios.com/blog/destination-wedding-weekend-itinerary-guests)). In Georgia, [Eventive](https://eventive.ge/ru/skolko-stoit-svadba-v-gruzii/) prices a multi-day celebration with a welcome dinner and a farewell brunch at 8,000-30,000+ USD, against 4,000-15,000 USD for a wedding with one banquet. At a camp you buy out, the welcome dinner and the breakfast after are simply part of the stay.

We close the camp to other guests, so the people on the ridge are your people. Meals are cooked in Yurtalicious, our yurt restaurant on site, and our venue team runs the kitchen, the rooms and the turnarounds on the day.

## How does the weekend actually run, Friday to Sunday?

The weekend runs over two nights: day one is arrival and the welcome dinner, day two is the wedding, day three is breakfast and the way home. We recommend at least two nights, and many couples come two or three days early to set up and settle in ([our organizer guide](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/organizer-info)).

| When | What happens | Who runs it |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1, from midday | Transfers in waves from Batumi, check-in from 15:00, vendors build | Our drivers and venue team |
| Day 1, evening | Welcome dinner, fire circle, sauna | Our kitchen and team |
| Day 2, morning | Yoga, breakfast, getting ready in the dome | Our team, make-up and hair |
| Day 2, 16:00 to 00:00 | Ceremony, golden-hour photos, dinner, cake, party, bonfire | Our team, your vendors, the registrar |
| Day 2, after midnight | The party moves into the yurt | You |
| Day 3, morning | Yoga, breakfast, check-out at 11:00, transfers down | Our team and drivers |

The village mosque calls to prayer mostly on Fridays, and we help you time a Friday ceremony around it.

## Day 1: how do arrival day and the welcome dinner run?

Day one is about getting 30 people up a mountain without stress, then feeding them well. Guests arrive in waves through the afternoon, check in from 15:00, and the day ends with the welcome dinner and the fire.

**A typical day one:**

- **Morning:** the couple and the vendors who build (decor, sound, lights) come up first. Vendors can arrive and set up the day before the wedding, and our team helps them unload and finds them power.
- **From about 12:00:** minibuses and 4x4s leave Batumi, the airport or the railway station in waves, built around your guests' flight and train times. The drive takes about 2 hours. Check-in is at 15:00, but when the camp is yours we are flexible and charge nothing for an early arrival.
- **On arrival:** a snack or a light buffet in the yurt, tea and coffee all day, and time to walk the ridge. Couples who want a picnic on the way up can stop at the Makhuntseti waterfall, which sits on the Batumi to Khulo road, for 50 GEL on top of the transfer.
- **Evening:** the welcome dinner. Our dinner buffet for staying guests runs 19:00 to 21:00, and for a wedding we agree the exact time with you on one run sheet that the kitchen also holds. A later dinner is fine when it is on that sheet.
- **After dinner:** the fire circle is lit every evening and seats 35, firewood included. The evening sauna is free for everyone staying, and it is where the parents tend to end up.

> **Tip:** Keep the welcome dinner lower-key than the wedding: a buffet, the fire and a few toasts. Guests who travelled all day are tired, and the energy belongs to day two.

At a 35-guest wedding in September 2025, the couple and their closest friends came the day before to set up, and on arrival day three transfers ran: one from the city, one from the airport and the railway station, and a jeep for a late flight ([case study](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/case-studies/wedding-anastasia-artem)). That is the pattern we plan with most couples.

## Day 2: what happens hour by hour on the wedding day?

The wedding day at Glamping Tago follows a run sheet we have refined over many weddings: ceremony at 16:00, dinner at 19:00, cake and first dance at 20:30, the DJ from 21:00, the bonfire at 22:30 and the party in the yurt from midnight. Leave about 30 minutes between blocks so our team can turn the tent from ceremony to dinner.

| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 09:00 | Morning yoga on the grass, then breakfast |
| 12:00 | Light lunch; the couple gets ready in the heated yoga dome |
| 16:00 | Ceremony on the meadow facing the mountains, or in the event tent if it rains |
| 17:00 | Canapes and a toast with sparkling wine by the yurt; golden-hour photos for the couple |
| 19:00 | Dinner in the event tent: supra or buffet, with the BBQ station next to the tent |
| 20:30 | Cake, first dance, fireworks |
| 21:00 | DJ in front of the tent, away from the sleeping tents; sauna for those who want a quiet evening |
| 22:30 | Bonfire at the fire circle |
| 00:00 | Music outside stops; the party moves into the warm yurt |

This is the same run sheet as on [our wedding site](https://wedding.glampingtago.ge/organizer-info), with one change for a weekend: your guests are already here, so the 09:00 departure from Batumi becomes yoga and breakfast.

**Who is where during the day:**

- **Getting ready:** the heated yoga dome is the bride's room and the base for the make-up artist and the planner's team, at no charge. Two hair dryers and an iron or steamer are available on request.
- **The ceremony:** most couples marry on the meadow, with our handmade arch facing the mountains and guests on wooden benches. Two other spots work: a forest clearing near the camp, or Otsinari lake, 4 km up the road and about 30 minutes by car, at 1,458 m.
- **The registrar:** if you marry legally on the day, the registrar comes up and the signing is part of the ceremony (see the legal section below).
- **Photos at golden hour:** while guests eat canapes, the couple and the photographer go out for about an hour. Do the portraits then, not during dinner.
- **The party:** music plays outside until midnight, then the party continues inside the yurt so the tents can sleep. Fireworks and fire shows are allowed, and torches can line the path.

### What time should the ceremony start in each month?

A 16:00 ceremony works all season because it leaves time for golden-hour photos before the 19:00 dinner. If you want the ceremony closer to sunset, start about 90 minutes before it. The table uses Batumi's sunset times for 2026 from [Sunrise.am](https://sunrise.am/batumi/?month=9&year=2026) as a guide; on the ridge the light goes behind the mountains a little earlier.

| Date (2026) | Sunset in Batumi | Ceremony 90 minutes before |
|---|---|---|
| 15 May | 20:25 | about 18:55 |
| 15 June | 20:49 | about 19:20 |
| 15 July | 20:46 | about 19:15 |
| 1 September | 19:46 | about 18:15 |
| 15 September | 19:23 | about 17:55 |
| 30 September | 18:57 | about 17:30 |

The latest sunset of the year in Khulo is 20:49 on 27 June ([Weather Spark](https://weatherspark.com/y/102427/Average-Weather-in-Khulo-Georgia-Year-Round)). A later ceremony moves dinner, the cake and the DJ later too, so put the new times on the run sheet with the kitchen.

> **Good to know:** At a 27-guest wedding in July 2026, the guests came by bus to Khulo and two of our minibuses brought them up. They had snacks on arrival, the ceremony, then a Mountain Supra with a BBQ while the couple did their photos, cake with fireworks, the first dance and the bouquet, a DJ, the sauna for the parents and the bonfire ([case study](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/case-studies/wedding-victoria-lev)).

## Day 3: what happens the morning after?

The morning after is slow: yoga at 09:00 for anyone who wants it, a long breakfast together, check-out at 11:00 and the transfers down the mountain. When the camp is yours, check-out is flexible and there is no late fee.

- **Breakfast:** a buffet in the event tent or the yurt. This is the brunch planners abroad add as an extra event; here it is simply breakfast.
- **Transfers:** minibuses take guests down to Khulo or straight to Batumi, the airport or the railway station. At a 38-guest wedding in September 2026, ten friends went back to Batumi at 22:00 on the wedding night and the rest slept in the tents and rode down to Khulo at 11:00 ([case study](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/case-studies/wedding-margo-nikolay)). Early flights need their own car: at a September 2025 wedding, a car left at 6 am for one guest's early flight ([case study](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/case-studies/wedding-anastasia-artem)).
- **A third night:** couples and close family often stay on. Extra nights in the tents before or after the wedding cost 173 to 336 GEL a tent a night, depending on the month, when the camp is not bought out.
- **A day out:** guests who stay longer can visit Green Lake over the Goderdzi pass, a half-day trip from the camp.

> **Green Lake (Mtsvane Tba)** (Khulo municipality (Adjara))
> The half-day trip from the camp for the day after the wedding: 39.9 km and 53 minutes over the Goderdzi pass, climbing to 2,067 m. Free to visit, with no cafe, shop or toilet at the water.

## Who does what: the venue team, the vendors and the couple?

We are your venue, not your wedding planner, but our venue team runs the place on the day whichever way you plan. That means the rooms, the food and its timing, turning the tent from ceremony to dinner, our decor and setup, and one person on our side who answers your questions.

| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Our venue team | Rooms and rooming list, the kitchen and every meal, the arch, the flowers we pick locally, tables and lights, turning the tent, the fire and the sauna, transfers, one contact on site |
| Your vendors | Photo and video, make-up and hair, host, DJ and sound, live music, extra decor, the cake from Batumi |
| The registrar | The legal ceremony on site, if you marry legally on the day |
| You, the couple | The guest list, the programme and the mood board, choosing and paying the vendors (unless we coordinate), one person from your side on site early on the day |
| A planner (optional) | Concept, decor and vendors, and running the day for you |

You choose how much planning you hand over:

1. **Venue only, with our vendor guide.** Free. You or your own planner book the vendors; couples who book get our guide with vetted vendors, mostly from Batumi, with contacts and approximate prices.
2. **Our partner planner.** Natalia and the [Iremi Wedding](https://www.instagram.com/iremi.wedding/) team plan about fifteen weddings a year in Adjara, know the camp and work in Russian and English. Planners usually charge 10-15% of the whole budget, about 2,000-6,000 GEL on a 20,000-40,000 GEL wedding, agreed directly with them.
3. **We coordinate it.** A fixed 2,000 GEL: one person on our side books and manages the vendors from our guide, builds the timeline and runs the day.

## What does a three-day glamping wedding in Georgia cost in 2026?

A two-night wedding weekend for 30 guests at Glamping Tago costs about 25,000 GEL in May and about 27,600 GEL in September, with every meal, the decor, a photographer, make-up, a DJ, the registrar and return transfers. That is about 9,000-10,000 USD, inside the 5,000-15,000 USD our organizer page gives for a 30-guest wedding with dinner, breakfast and accommodation.

The biggest line is the venue. The whole camp is priced per night and covers all 12 tents and the dorm, the event tent, both yoga spaces, the yurt, the sauna and the campfire every evening, morning yoga, our sound system, and tea and coffee all day.

| Month (2026) | Whole camp per night | Two nights |
|---|---|---|
| April | 3,258 GEL | 6,516 GEL |
| May | 3,711 GEL | 7,422 GEL |

| July and August | 6,035 GEL | 12,070 GEL |
| September | 5,041 GEL | 10,082 GEL |
| October | 3,646 GEL | 7,292 GEL |

**Where the money goes: a 30-guest September weekend (27,587 GEL)**

| | amount | share |

The same weekend in May costs 24,927 GEL, because the camp is 3,711 GEL a night. Add 2,000 GEL if we coordinate everything, 600 GEL for fireworks, 1,000 GEL for a photo booth set-up, and from 200 GEL for bouquet delivery from Batumi. Children under 6 eat free and children from 6 to 12 pay half.

> **Cost:** Two things are not in the camp price: the food and the transfers. The 30% prepayment of the total confirms your date and is non-refundable; it is also your minimum. You pay in lari by bank transfer or a payment link (company invoices in GEL or EUR), and what you use on the day is settled on site, in cash or by transfer, against an itemised invoice ([organizer guide](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/organizer-info)).

How this compares: [Matilda Events](https://matildaevents.com/wedding-cost-in-georgia-country-2026-budget/) puts a 15-25 guest wedding in Georgia at 6,000-10,000 EUR, and [Eventive](https://eventive.ge/ru/skolko-stoit-svadba-v-gruzii/) puts 20-50 guests at 4,000-10,000 USD. [Lotus Wedding](https://lotus-wedding.com/ru/uslugi/svadba-v-gorah/) sells mountain weddings from 2,305 USD, and its Gudauri package for up to 20 guests from 8,060 USD. At Tago, the beds for all 30 guests and two nights of meals are inside the total above.

## How do you feed 30 guests on a mountain, and what about meat and drinks?

Our kitchen cooks vegetarian food from local produce every day, and wedding menus add meat through a BBQ live station grilled next to the event tent. Everyone gets the same wedding menu, and vegan, gluten-free and allergy needs are handled with notice.

| Menu (2026) | Price per guest | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Mountain Supra | 85 GEL | 3 courses, generous and vegetarian |
| Euro-Georgian buffet | 125 GEL | 3 courses with soup and a dessert buffet |
| Signature menu | 215 GEL | 5 courses, from 30 guests |
| BBQ live station | 45 GEL | marinated chicken and pork or beef, cooked for the whole group |
| Meat khinkali on the supra | 15 GEL | added to any menu |
| Reception appetizers | 15 GEL | cheese, dried fruit, nuts, bruschetta |
| Breakfast buffet | 32 GEL | each morning |
| Dinner buffet | 37 GEL | the other evenings, such as the welcome dinner |

Drinks: bring your own wine or spirits for 15 GEL corkage a bottle (5-litre bottles are counted per litre), and we can collect them in Batumi and chill them. Drinks from our menu get a 10% wedding discount, and a bottle of sparkling wine is 45 GEL. Homemade lemonade, compote and water come with the supra. Order the cake in Batumi and send us its size: our freezer door is 60 x 50 cm.

> **Watch out:** The BBQ is cooked for the whole group, not for part of it, so count every guest. The food count is final 7 days before the wedding; after that the kitchen buys for that number.

## What do the vendors cost in 2026: host, DJ, sound, photography, video, flowers?

Vendors who work in Batumi and Adjara charge most couples 425-750 GEL for a photographer's entry package, 225 GEL for make-up and about 800 GEL for a DJ, plus the ride up to Tago. These are 2026 prices from the quotes our team collected from local wedding vendors; the chart shows the typical entry package and the range most of them sit in.

**Entry packages of wedding vendors in Batumi and Adjara, 2026**

| | range | typical | quotes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Photographer | 425-750 GEL | 520 GEL | 14 |

| Live music | 3 | 850-1,050 GEL | 900 GEL | trio or duo for an evening |

Prices from our own partners at Tago: a Russian-speaking host for 6 hours is 3,000 GEL, a Georgian DJ 600-1,500 GEL, a Russian-speaking DJ from Tbilisi 2,000 GEL, and host, DJ and sound as one team from 5,000 GEL. A full sound rig with two technicians is 2,600 GEL. An Adjaran folk trio costs 900 GEL plus 50 GEL transfer, and the bride's make-up and hair at the camp is 400 GEL with the trip from Batumi. Event lighting starts at 1,000 GEL for warm string lights.

Two vendors who have worked at Glamping Tago:

> **Valerie Kasperova Photography** (Batumi)
> A Batumi wedding photographer who has photographed weddings at Glamping Tago and knows the light on the ridge.
> Price: Packages 200-750 USD, 50-60 USD per hour

> **Natalia Chizhikova** (Georgia)
> A wedding videographer who has filmed at Glamping Tago; her packages run from a short clip to a full film.
> Price: Packages 650-2,000 USD

> **Tip:** Most photographers, DJs, hosts and stylists charge the ride to Tago on top of their fee. Pool several vendors into one car (530 GEL, Batumi and back), and remember that a vendor who leaves early needs a car of their own.

**What we already have, free:** 10 wooden tables, benches for 100 and about 20 chairs, tablecloths, napkins, plates, cutlery and glasses, candle holders and lanterns, a JBL speaker with two wireless microphones (enough for the ceremony, speeches and dinner), sockets at the event tent, Starlink Wi-Fi at about 300 Mbps for live streams. **What you bring or rent:** a DJ system for dancing, stage or event lighting, and a projector. There is no high-power generator on site.

## How do 30 guests get up a mountain road, and what does that cost?

Glamping Tago is 91.7 km by road from Batumi bus station (about 87 km from the airport), and the drive takes about 2 hours. The last 8.7 km from Khulo is a mountain road: big coaches cannot make it, so 30 guests travel in two 15-seat minibuses, or by your own coach to Khulo and our minibuses from there.

| Transfer (2026) | Vehicle | Price, one way |
|---|---|---|
| Batumi to Tago | 4x4, 4 seats | 265 GEL |
| Batumi to Tago | minibus, 15 seats | 410 GEL |
| Khulo to Tago | 4x4, 4 seats | 75 GEL |
| Khulo to Tago | minibus, 15 seats | 135 GEL |
| Vendor car, Batumi and back | 4x4 | 530 GEL return |
| Kutaisi to Tago | 4x4 | 465 GEL |
| Tbilisi to Tago | 4x4 | 925 GEL |

How it works: send us every guest's flight or train time and pick-up address, and we build the plan in waves a few days before. We use 15- and 17-seat minibuses and 4x4s, from Batumi, the airport or the railway station. Transfers are paid in cash at reception, never to the driver. Khulo, on the way up, has a fuel station, an ATM and a pharmacy, so guests who need cash can take it out there. Full details are on [how to get to Glamping Tago](https://glampingtago.ge/how-to-get-to-glamping-tago).

- **Your own coach to Khulo:** Batumi companies charter buses for groups of up to 20, 30 or 50, priced by hours and mileage; book a month ahead in summer ([Helper.travel](https://helper.travel/en/batumi/bus-minibus-rental)). Our minibuses take guests the last stretch for 135 GEL each.
- **From Kutaisi airport:** the road goes via Batumi, about 210 km to Khulo, plus 8.7 km to the camp. The shorter line on maps crosses the Bakhmaro mountain road and is not a transfer route.
- **By marshrutka:** minibuses leave the old Batumi bus station for Khulo (sign ბათუმი - ხულო) every 30 minutes from 08:00 to 20:00, take about 2.5 hours ([Madloba](https://madloba.info/en/batumi/avtostantsii-avtobusy-i-avtobusnye-kassy/marshrutka-batumi-khulo/)) and cost about 10 GEL. We send a car to meet guests in Khulo.
- **Driving yourself:** a normal car is fine on the 85 km of asphalt to Khulo, but the road from Khulo up to Tago needs a 4x4. With one, park at the top of the camp by the sign; without one, park in Khulo centre and take our 4x4 taxi for 75 GEL a car. The Skhalta valley road, turning off at Zamleti 4.7 km before Khulo and climbing through Cheri, is a little longer but easier, and suits normal cars and minibuses.
- **The cable car:** the Khulo to Tago cable car is closed ([Batumelebi](https://batumelebi.netgazeti.ge/news/639710/)), so every guest comes up by road.

> **Watch out:** Do not follow Google Maps for the last part of the drive. Use maps.me and our route guide, or let our drivers bring everyone up.

### Where do guests sleep who do not want a tent?

Every wedding guest can sleep at the camp, but the tents have no bathrooms inside: two shared bathhouses between the tents have 4 hot showers and 4 toilets in total. A grandparent who needs a private bathroom or a vendor who arrives late may prefer a room in Tago village or in Khulo, 8.7 km below. These are the places we send them to.

## Is it legally a wedding? Registering the marriage in Khulo or Batumi

Yes. Foreigners can marry legally in Georgia without residency, and a registrar can come to the camp: the on-site registration costs 255 GEL, and most ceremonies are registered within 24 hours. The signing can be part of the ceremony on the meadow.

What you need, according to the [Public Service Development Agency](https://sda.gov.ge/en/products/marriage-registration/) and planners who file these every week:

1. A joint written application, made by both of you in person. Apply at the House of Justice between two months and two weeks before the date ([case study](https://glampingtago.ge/weddings/case-studies/wedding-asya-timur)).
2. Valid passports with the legal entry stamp, and a notarised Georgian translation ([Geowed](https://geowed.ge/dokumenty)).
3. A divorce certificate if one of you was married before.
4. Two adult witnesses. Both of you must be at least 18.
5. Valid health and accident insurance for the whole stay, with cover of at least about 30,000 GEL ([Galogrea](https://galogrea.ge/wedding-batumi-planning-guide/)).

> **Batumi Public Service Hall** (7 Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, Batumi)
> Where a couple marrying in Adjara can register the marriage for free, 90 km and about 100 minutes from the camp. The Khulo branch 9 km below the camp does the same job; reviewers here complain about repeat visits, so go early with every document.
> Price: Registration free · Capacity: Mon to Fri · Google 4.6 (701)
> [website](https://psh.gov.ge/) · phone +995 32 240 54 05 · [map](https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJY7pEYXSGZ0AR1calaQ9cYFw)

Agencies also handle the paperwork: [Violet Weddings](https://violet-weddings.com/uslugi/vyezdnaja-registracija-braka-v-gruzii/) charges 390 USD for registration without an apostille and 450 USD with one. A symbolic ceremony with the legal signing done at home works just as well at the camp.

## Which month should you pick, and what is the rain plan?

Weddings at Glamping Tago run from May to mid-October; the camp is open from 1 April to the end of October and closed in winter, when there can be 3 m of snow. May and June are the greenest, September and early October are warm and golden, and August is the clearest month in Khulo, with a clear, mostly clear or partly cloudy sky 91% of the time ([Weather Spark](https://weatherspark.com/y/102427/Average-Weather-in-Khulo-Georgia-Year-Round)).

Mountain weather changes fast, so every wedding has a covered plan: the sailcloth event tent is 15.2 x 9.7 m, about 150 m2, with walls 2.4 m high, a 5.9 m peak and sides that close, fixed on a wooden deck so the floor stays dry. The yurt has 36 seats inside around a wood stove. On a cold September night in 2026, our team moved the wood stoves into the event tent.

- **Nights are cold even in summer.** At the camp, nights usually drop to about 15°C in July, 10-13°C in September and 6-9°C in May, so put a warm layer in the invitation; the tents are heated.
- **Rain is part of the plan.** It rains on 11 to 16 days a month from May to October, so the covered setup in the event tent is ready for every wedding, not only when the forecast looks bad.
- **Late August can be rainy.** Bring umbrellas, and do not trust the Khulo forecast for the ridge.
- **Early August has few local flowers.** Our team picks flowers and greens in village gardens and the forest, so colours follow the season; in early August, order some from Batumi.
- **Book early for summer.** June to September dates book 6-12 months ahead; for other months, at least three months.

## Where in Georgia (the country) can you hold a tent wedding where every guest sleeps on site?

In Georgia, the venues where all 30 guests sleep on site and nobody else is there are rare: Glamping Tago and Eco House Merisi in the Adjara mountains are the clearest examples. Most other wedding venues are hotels or resorts you share with other guests, or banquet halls with no beds. Here are the options couples compare with us, region by region.

### Adjara: the mountains and the coast behind Batumi

Adjara is the region most wedding lists leave out, and it suits a small weekend wedding well. Batumi airport is about 2 hours from the mountain venues, the summer in the mountains is cooler and greener than in Tbilisi or Kakheti, and the villages have few tourists. The honest downsides: the last stretch to some mountain venues is a mountain road, the coast gets a lot of rain, and Tbilisi is far.

**Eco House Merisi** (Merisi, Keda): 53.4 km from Batumi in the Merisi side valley. Capacity: ceremonies and dinners up to 60, a restaurant hall for 50, and 12 cottages and 3 villas that sleep up to 54. Price: quoted per wedding. Season: all year. It is the closest like-for-like option to ours, with a wedding weekend format and a full hotel buyout ([Eco House Merisi weddings](https://ecohousemerisi.com/wedding-in-georgia/)). It is not on the way to Tago: as a stop, it adds 23.2 km and 37 minutes.

**Chateau Iveri** (Vardjanisi, Keda): 51.1 km from Batumi, right on the Batumi to Khulo road. A small hotel with a winery and only 7 rooms, so most wedding guests sleep elsewhere. ### Near Tbilisi: glamping and cottages

Near Tbilisi, a few venues offer cottages or domes, but none sleeps a whole wedding and gives you the place to yourselves the way a camp buyout does. [Kiketi Farm](https://kiketi.farm/events), 25-30 minutes from Tbilisi, has greenhouses for 30-150 guests and a meadow for 150-200, with a container hotel and tree houses on site.

> **Jewelberry Glamping Hotel** (Shuaguli, near Mtskheta)
> Built glamping 30 minutes from Tbilisi that hosts weddings, with a pool and a restaurant. Ten domes sleep 20 to 40 people, so a wedding party of 40 or more cannot stay on site.

### Kazbegi and Gudauri: high mountains, hotel weddings

Kazbegi is the mountain region most agencies sell first. It is about 150 km from Tbilisi, 2.5 to 3.5 hours by private car over the Jvari pass, which closes for a few hours at a time in the avalanche season from November to February ([Georgia Guidebook](https://georgiaguidebook.com/transport/tbilisi-to-kazbegi/)). Planners advise July and August for a wedding with guests and an outdoor dinner; in May and June the dinner moves into a restaurant ([Tbiliweddings](https://tbiliweddings.com/gudauri)). [Geowed](https://geowed.ge/svadba-v-gudauri-kazbegi) quotes an in-season buyout of Hotel Rosche, one of the Gudauri and Kazbegi hotels on its list, at 3,430 USD plus VAT for 33 rooms, with a 1,500 USD minimum for the wedding dinner.

> **Rooms Kazbegi** (Stepantsminda, Kazbegi)
> The Kazbegi hotel most often named for mountain weddings: a terrace under Mount Kazbek, but a hotel you share with other guests.
> Price: Ceremony from 3,400 USD (Lotus Wedding) · Capacity: 2 event rooms, 360 m2 of event space · Google 4.5 (5568)
> Pros: 2 event rooms and 360 m2 of event space; A September 2026 review describes a terrace ceremony

In the same town, [Hotel Porta Caucasia](http://www.portacaucasia.com/) is a smaller hotel with standard doubles, twins and triples and the Liguria terrace restaurant. Like Rooms Kazbegi, it sells rooms by the night, so a wedding party shares it with other guests.

### Kakheti: wine estates and lake resorts

Kakheti is the wine region, about 2 hours from Tbilisi. Its venues are estates and resorts built for large weddings: many rooms, ballrooms and vineyards, but shared with other guests and usually more than one celebration a weekend. [Chateau Artwine](https://wedding-in-georgia.ge/venues/wedding-in-chateau-artwine/) has 32 rooms that sleep up to 52 and hosts events up to 150.

> **Tsinandali Estate, a Radisson Collection Hotel** (Tsinandali, Kakheti)

### Is a glamping wedding cheaper than a hotel or restaurant wedding in Georgia?

For 30 guests who all need a bed, usually yes, because at a camp you buy out, the beds, the venue and the event tent are one nightly price. At a hotel, you pay for rooms, a ballroom or terrace and a dinner minimum separately: the Gudauri and Kazbegi hotel buyout Geowed quotes is 3,430 USD plus VAT before the 1,500 USD dinner minimum. For a 150-guest banquet with no overnight stay, a restaurant or wine estate in Kakheti is the simpler and cheaper choice.

## What do you book, in what order, and how far ahead?

Book the venue first, at least three months ahead and 6-12 months ahead for June to September, then the registrar, the vendors and the transfers. This is the order that works for a 30-guest weekend:

1. **12 to 6 months before:** pick the month and ask Anastasia, who handles every wedding enquiry and answers within a day (anastasia@glampingtago.ge, or WhatsApp from [our wedding site](https://wedding.glampingtago.ge/for-planners)), for the date. Pay the 30% prepayment that confirms it. Decide whether you plan yourself, with Iremi Wedding or with our coordination.
2. **6 to 3 months before:** book the photographer, make-up, host or DJ. Ask each vendor for the ride to Tago in writing.
3. **3 months to 2 weeks before:** apply for the legal marriage at the House of Justice, between two months and two weeks before the date. Tell guests about the insurance.
4. **30 days before:** send us your full programme, the vendor list and the mood board. We tell you honestly what we make here and what has to come from Batumi.
5. **7 days before:** the final food count in writing, which becomes the invoice, and the rooming list: who sleeps in which tent, double or twin.
6. **1 week before:** menu choice, the drinks order, the cake size and the address where we collect your alcohol.
7. **A few days before:** every guest's arrival time and pick-up address for the transfer plan.
8. **On the day:** one person from your side on site early in the morning.

You can visit the camp on a weekend before you book, or we walk you through it on a live video call.

## What couples get wrong about a mountain wedding weekend

Most mistakes on a mountain weekend come from planning it like a city wedding. These are the ones we see.

> **Watch out:** Booking a big coach all the way to the camp. Coaches stop in Khulo; plan the last 8.7 km with our minibuses.

> **Watch out:** Vendor quotes without the travel. Most vendors charge the ride to Tago on top. Ask for it before you sign, and pool vendors into one car.

> **Watch out:** A dinner time that only the couple knows. The kitchen cooks to the run sheet; a later dinner is fine, but it must be on the sheet the kitchen holds.

> **Watch out:** Planning photos during dinner. Do them at golden hour, between the ceremony and the 19:00 dinner.

> **Watch out:** Forgetting how cold the nights are. Put "bring a warm layer" in the invitation, even for July.

> **Watch out:** Paying the driver. Transfers are paid in cash at reception, which keeps the accounts clear for everyone.

> **Watch out:** A cake that does not fit. Send us the size first: the freezer door is 60 x 50 cm.

## A 30-guest mountain wedding weekend at Glamping Tago

We run the weekend ourselves, with our own venue team on the ridge. Your wedding books the whole camp on the ridge above Village Tago, so the 30 people around the fire on Friday night are the same 30 at breakfast on Sunday, and nobody else.

You get the 12 tents and the dorm dome, the sailcloth event tent on its deck, the ceremony meadow, the heated dome as the getting-ready room, the sauna and the campfire every evening and morning yoga. Meals come from Yurtalicious, our yurt restaurant on site, and our team turns the tent from ceremony to dinner while you take your golden-hour photos.

Plan it yourself with our vendor guide, with our partner planner, or let us coordinate it for a fixed fee. Write to Anastasia with your date and guest count.

## FAQ

**How many guests can stay overnight at a glamping wedding at Glamping Tago?**

Thirty-three sleep at the camp: 12 Lotus Belle tents for two and a 9-bed half-dome dorm, and each tent takes an extra mattress for a child or an adult. The camp is built for weddings of about 30, where everyone sleeps on site. Guests can also pitch their own tents for free, because every wedding books the whole camp.

**Can we have more than 33 guests?**

Yes. Bigger weddings, up to about 100 guests, use the seven family guesthouses in Tago village, a few minutes below the camp: 27 rooms with 64 beds at 150 GEL a room a night, mostly with shared bathrooms. We book them for you and our drivers take guests up and down.

**How much does a wedding weekend for 30 guests cost in Georgia?**

At Glamping Tago, two nights for 30 guests with every meal, an arch and flowers, a photographer, make-up, a DJ, the registrar and return transfers from Batumi come to about 27,600 GEL in September and about 25,000 GEL in May. Our organizer page gives 5,000-15,000 USD as the usual range for a 30-guest wedding with dinner, breakfast and accommodation. The camp itself is 3,258 to 6,035 GEL a night depending on the month.

**What time should the ceremony start at a mountain wedding in Adjara?**

At Glamping Tago the ceremony is usually at 16:00, which leaves an hour of golden-hour photos before dinner at 19:00. For a ceremony closer to sunset, start about 90 minutes before it: around 19:20 in mid-June and around 17:55 in mid-September, using Batumi sunset times as a guide.

**What happens if it rains on the wedding day?**

The ceremony and the dinner move under the sailcloth event tent: 15.2 x 9.7 m, about 150 m2, with sides that close and a wooden deck that keeps the floor dry. The yurt restaurant, with its wood stove, is the second covered space. On cold nights our team moves wood stoves into the event tent.

**Until what time can the music play?**

Music plays outside until midnight. After that the party continues inside the yurt, so guests who want to sleep can. Fireworks and fire shows are allowed, and the DJ sets up in front of the event tent, away from the sleeping tents.

**Is the food at a Glamping Tago wedding vegetarian?**

Our daily kitchen is vegetarian, and wedding menus add meat through a BBQ live station for 45 GEL a guest, grilled next to the event tent for the whole group, or meat khinkali for 15 GEL a guest. The Mountain Supra wedding dinner is 85 GEL a guest. Vegan, gluten-free and allergy needs are handled with notice.

**How do 30 wedding guests get to Glamping Tago?**

Two 15-seat minibuses bring 30 guests from Batumi, its airport or the railway station in about 2 hours, at 410 GEL per minibus each way. Big coaches cannot climb the last 8.7 km from Khulo, so a group with its own coach changes to our minibuses in Khulo, for 135 GEL a minibus. The Khulo cable car is closed.

**Can foreigners marry legally at the camp?**

Yes, without residency. A registrar comes to the camp for 255 GEL, and most ceremonies are registered within 24 hours. You apply together at the House of Justice between two months and two weeks before the date, with valid passports with the entry stamp, a notarised Georgian translation, two adult witnesses and insurance for the whole stay.
